CHAPTER 4: Moonlight

Rimuru POV

I was walking down the halls of our temporary governmental building

The building itself wasn't large, so the trip to the meeting room was short

Once I arrived I saw that Benimaru, Souei, Rigurd, Kaijin, Shion, Hakurou, and Treyni-san are already there

As I entered everyone greeted me with a polite nod and I took my seat at the head of the table

Right after me entered Velzard-san and Shuna who closed the door

The way that Velzard-san walked was so graceful and noble that I was honestly stunned

She took one of the seats at the table and everyone looked at her confused

It seemed that they all wanted to say something, especially Shion, but they didn't get to because right after noticing her, Treyni-san kneeled down on her knee to greet her

" It's good to see that you are in such good health Vel..." She talked in frightened and polite thone but was cut short by Velzard-san

" I would prefer if you don't reveal my identity Treyni-chan" She said calmly but with a smile that was really scary

" I-i understand" Treyni-san said and sat down in her place without saying anything else

Everyone was now even more confused. The Dryad, the protector of the forest has just kneeled down to some random woman that has entered the room with their leader, that was proof enough that they shouldn't mess with her

Velzard-sans seat was right next to me. She sat in her seat gracefully, her posture being more than a perfect

' She really does look like a queen' I involuntarily thought

Raphael threw an amazing comment out of nowhere, which in return made me blush really hard

At this point the tension in the room was palpable. Everyone had either wary or tense expression and by the looks of it, we won't be able to get any work done

" While I won't say her name I will tell you that she is the older sister of my close friend, so she came for a visit" I made a pause to study their reactions

Kijins all had relived expressions while goblins, and dwarves looked at me admirably, direwolves representative, Ranga, was wagging his tail

" So you guys don't have to be all tense and worrying, okay" I finished with a smile

After my words the atmosphere in the room definitely got better, and Velzard-san seemed angry about something

' Did I say something?'

《...》

' Do you want to say something Raphael?' I asked since she obviously did want to

《 It's just your imagination 》

And there she goes again... but now I don't have time for this since this is apparently an urgent meeting

" So what was so urgent?" I asked

" Yes" Souei said as he stood up

" My clones that were overwatching the situation in the forest have discovered that Orcs are advancing much faster than it was anticipated, and thus, it's believed that they will reach the town in four days instead of the anticipated seven" Souei answered with a highly worrying piece of information
