The beaming of the sunlight indicating a new day shines over your eyes. Memories of last night comes in waves as you throws the covers over your face in embarrassment

Glad we didn't get too far ahead of ourselves last night.

You thought as you tossed and turned. It was a day left until the mission to take back Wall Maria, you thought it would be nice to get some training in.

"Auntie Y/N~" a soft voice calls out and knocks on the door we're heard.

"Come in." You say sitting up in bed finally.

Lily opens the door and waddles in the room with Rupert by her side, she hops on the bed with a little struggle. She plops herself right next to you and lays right by your side.

"You hungry Lily?" You ask the child.

"Not really, I'm still sleepy though." She says as a little yawn comes out.

You chuckle to yourself as you remember how hyper she was last night. Reminds you of Jessica the morning after a crazy night out of drinking with the team.

"I think we can spare another hour of some rest." You say running your fingers in her golden blonde locks. Before Lily could even respond she was already fast asleep.

You chuckle to yourself then think for a moment. Taking back Wall Maria is going to be one of the most hardest mission of your career. It meant you had to stay alive for Lily's sake. Jessica trusted you, her best friend and captain to watch and take care of her daughter. That meant no matter what you had to come back alive.

You slowly lay back down under the covers trying not to wake Lily, and pull her close. Closing your eyes you both were fast asleep once again.

"We're with the Kingdom and Queen Historia has made some arrangements for our guest Lily here." A Royal guard says.

"Me?" Lily asks looking up at you.

"Yes. Your gonna be staying with the queen and her staff for the next few days or so while I go on this mission. It's very important that you follow every rule and treat everyone with kindness Lily." You hold your finger up to her to try and scold her but she gives you a blank face and her eyebrows raise.

"Shouldn't I be telling you that Auntie Y/N?" She says bluntly.

"Uh!"

Giggles and chuckles can be heard, your face goes red. "Oh my she seems to be growing even more the last I saw her." Historia says as she walks in the room.

"Queen Historia," you bow.

"Oh Y/N please don't, we're friends. And I'm very glad to have such a special guest at my kingdom to give me a hand." Historia pats Lily's head.

Lily smiles. "It won't be much trouble will it?" You ask.

"No, she's safer here than anywhere else. I love Lily and if anything were to happen to...you... I would make sure she's taken care of. You have my word Y/N." Historia gives you a genuine look.

You nod and look back at Lily. "I must say my goodbyes to her."

"Go ahead, I'm sure you must be preparing a lot with the scouts." Historia says and waits outside

You kneels infront of Lily and she looks at you, "You know this is a very important mission kiddo."

"Yeah, I figured. Your gonna come back right?" She asks.

You go silent. "I don't like making promises, but I will try everything in my power to come back and be the best auntie I can be."

"Good." Lily hugs you suddenly. Your taken aback but you hug her tightly.
