"RIDDLE!" Trey screamed. The red crystal on Riddle's magic pen turned into a tar black. He turned pale and a black goo dripped from him. His very aura turned nasty and dark. Y/n looked in honest amazement. "Overblot" wasn't something demons had to worry about, to see it in the flesh was a little overwhelming.
"He's completely changed." Yuu stared in fear.
"HAHAHAHA! Those foolish enough not to obey me...I have no need for them in my world. Off with the heads of anyone who disobey me!" Riddle growled.
"Oh dear, a student has gone into overblot right in front of me." Crowley said.
Y/n shook her head. "What a great headmaster you are."
"He's fallen into a dark berserk state." Cater looked around anxiously.
"Nothing we can't handle." Y/n smiled.
"Are you crazy?!" Cater looked at her wide-eyed.
"Crowley, get the other students to safely." Yuu told the headmaster before turning to Y/n. "Can you beat Riddle?"
She nodded. "I just need to make eye contact with him."
"GAAHHH EAT THIS!" Ace threw a large gust of wind at Riddle.
"Come forty cauldron!" Deuce shouted and a large cauldron appeared crushing Riddle.
"Jesus Christ!" Y/n rubbed her face.
"Fgghhnnaaa!" Grim spit fire at Riddle.
"What are you fools doing?" Riddle growled.
"I can overwrite him magic for now. We have to finish this quickly!" Trey told everyone.
" What's gotten into you? You can't beat Riddle!" Cater told him.
"I can't lose him, I have so much to tell him." Trey replied.
"Shit I'm really not cut out for this kinda thing." Cater looked unsure.
"You all have some nerve. I'll take all your heads!" Riddle yelled.
"Let's stop him before it's too late!" Yuu exclaimed.
The group hit Riddle with attack after attack all in vain. Y/n found the container that she gave Ace and opened it. The lasagna monster she created burst out hurdling at Riddle.
"Say hello to my little friend!" She laughed.
"What the hell is that?!" Ace shouted jumping out of the way of the monster.
"Gah!" The monster latched onto Riddle's arm. Surprise he looked at the gruesome monster before flinging it off.
He turned back to fight but Y/n was standing a few feet in front of him.
"Y/N!" Deuce yelled genuinely afraid for her.
"Trust in me." She reached her hand out.
Her eyes glowed and her heart pupils pulsated and shifted. As he looked into her eyes tranquility washed over him and a sense of comfort. Her hand felt so inviting, he had to take it. He reached out to take her hand. Pink dust swirled around them and a circle of wind kept anyone from getting to them.
"Y/n! Riddle!" Cater moved up and the wind blasted him back knocking into Trey.
"What's going on?!" Grim shouted.
"Holy shit." Trey looked at the circle and his eyes widened in realization. He remembered Riddle reading aloud about Y/n's family history. This was exactly as the book described. Y/n had her mothers power
❥
Y/n found herself in a white garden. Everything was white down to the grass. It was like a painter hadn't finished anything beyond the sketch. She walked around a garden wall and was met with a wide-open area. In the middle was a table with Riddle, Trey, Cater, Ace, Deuce, and even Yuu, Grim, and herself. They were having tea and laughing.
"Ah, Riddle croquet is in a few minutes." Cater said.
"We can skip it today." He smiled.
"So this is Riddle's dream." Y/n smiled.
"Happy eighth birthday Riddle." A voice came from behind her. Y/n turned around finding a stone path.
"I shouldn't be doing this." She clenched her fists and started down the path. "I just want to understand you."
Y/n followed the lather and found herself in a well-kept house. It was insanely organized and a little off-putting. It didn't feel like a home but more like a doctor's office.
"Today your cake will be low-sugar, high lecithin cake made with soy flour and nuts." A woman said looking down at a little Riddle.
"Bleh." Y/n cringed.
"Thank you Mama, but, Ummm, I... Just once, I want to try tart covered in bright red strawberries." He replied hopefully.
"How could you say such a thing! That pastry is like a mound of sugar, that's more like poison. One slice will exceed your ideal daily intake of carbohydrates." She scolded.
"Yes, Mama." Riddle looked down.
Y/n kneeled down to the little boy. She has never known the heartache of a bad parent. She only knew the pain of losing a good one. It was possible Riddle didn't even know what his mother was doing to him.
"Oh boy." Y/n sighed. "When we get out of here I'm going to make you that tart."
She knew he couldn't hear her. She was just a memory of his. One that she knew she shouldn't be looking at. It was an invasion of privacy but she desperately wanted to understand him. She stood up and more voices could be heard. One was Riddle's mother but the others were children. Possibly Riddles friends. As much as she wanted to she forced herself to backtrack out of his memories. If he wanted her to know then one day he'd tell her. She arrived back at the tea party and walked up to the table. Riddle looked at her surprised, his eyes darted to Y/n and the Y/n sitting at the table.
"She's not real, none of this is." She told him. "You have to wake up now."
"What?" He frowned.
"I'm sorry that you were never given any freedom. I hope one day you will find true happiness despite what your mother has done." Y/n took his hand. "Riddle...someone that truly loves you...wouldn't do what she did."
He stood up wrapping her in a hug. "I'm sorry about what I said to you. You'll make a perfect queen." He cried tears falling into her shoulder.
Gently she pat his back. "You have to wake up."
"How?" He pulled away.
Y/n looked to where the table was. A large ravine replaced it and seems to go on forever. She looked back at him a smirk appearing on her face. "Consider this payback." She pushed him off the cliff and leaned over watching him go down. His screams echoed as he fell.
"That actually looks like fun!"
