Maddy and I once again made up and apologized on the way over, and even though we were good now I wasn't feeling as good as I should have.

Sure, I'm headed to a party where a bunch of freaks and weirdos are gonna try to fit in , but it wasn't because of that. Nor did it really have anything to do with Maddy or anyone else for that matter.

I was just tired.....so goddamn tired.

Existing as you get older is more intricate, more complex, requires more energy than sometimes you think you have in you. High school, unbeknownst to so many of us, is the final hurrah before we all fade into a shallow and menial routine of going to work, eating, sleeping and hopefully dying with a significant other to love and possibly a child to carry on the family line and repeat the same shit over and over again.
