After our heroes managed to get away from Jessabelle, they continued their journey to Y/N's next gym badge. But right now they decided to have a break. They have stopped in the clearing near the ocean. Brock was making dinner while same time teaching Y/N how to cook. Misty was setting up a table with Y/N's Pokemon helping her. Brock threw the last ingredient into the cauldron.
Brock: And that's it. Now just let it boil for about an hour and it's done.
Y/N: Okay! Need any more help?
Brock: Nah. You and Misty rest while I finish dinner.
Y/N: Okay, thanks Brock!
He said while walking to Misty.
Y/N: We got some free time. So what do you wanna do?
Misty thought for a while and then she got an idea.
Misty: I know! How about we go fishing?
Y/N: Sure! That sounds fun!
Misty: Great! I't s a date then!
And with that, Y/N started blushing.
Y/N: *blushing* W-What?
Misty then started blushing too.
Misty: *blushing* I-I-I-I didn't mean it like that! I meant l-l-like two best friends going fishing, t-t-that's all! Hehehehehe!
She says while scratching the back of her head. Y/N also laughs nervously.
Y/N: Oh! Okay! Hehehehe! I-I'l go get my fishing rod!
He said and quickly ran to his backpack. Misty also did the same.
Misty: Yeah, I'll do the same!
Timeskip
We see Y/N and Misty fishing on a beach. Y/N is sitting on the ground, leaning against Venusaur who is just resting while enjoying the sun. Pikachu is sleeping on Y/N's lap while Eevee is sleeping on Misty's lap. Y/N then feels someone tugging on the line.
Y/N: Hey, I think I got something!?
Misty: Great! Just don't rush while reeling it in.
Y/N: Gotcha!
Y/N reeled it and Goldeen jumps out of the water. Y/N pulled out an empty Pokeball, threw it at the water type and caught it.
Misty: Nice capture Y/N.
Y/N: Thanks Misty.
He threw the line back in to the water.
Y/N: Hey Misty. Can I ask you something?
Misty: Sure. What is it?
Y/N What is your goal?
Misty looked confused.
Misty: What do you mean?
Y/N: You know, like, why did you leave to your journey? I left because I wanna be a Pokemon Master and Brock left because he wants to be a Pokemon Breeder. But why did you leave? You had a pretty promising career as a gym leader.
Misty blushed a little after Y/N complimented her.
Misty: Thanks, I'm glad you think so. Well, my goal is pretty similar to yours. But I don't want to be a Pokemon Master. I want to be a Water Pokemon Master.
Y/N: Really? Well I think you will get there in no time. Considering that you know a lot about water types, you have couple of them and you were a water type gym leader.
Misty blushed even more.
Misty: Y-You really think I could do it?
Y/N nodded.
Y/N: Absolutely.
Then something tugged Y/N's line again. He reeled it out of to water to reveal Slowpoke, who had Shellder biting it's tail.
Y/N: Hey! Two in one.
And then Slowpoke glowed white and evolved. The glow stopped to reveal that Slowpoke had evolved into Slowbro. Y/N sweat dropped and Misty just laughed.
Misty: Well now you don't have to catch a Shellder to evolve it.
Y/N: I guess you're right.
One Hour Later
Y/N and Misty were packing their fishing equipment. An hour went by really quickly and dinner was probably ready. During that hour Y/N managed to catch Goldeen, Slowbro, Shellder, Psyduck, Poliwag, Seel, Krabby and Staryu. Misty on the other hand caught Shellder, Krabby, Tentacool and Magikarp.
Misty: That was fun.
Y/N: You don't say. We should do this more often.
Misty: Definitely. And Y/N.
Y/N: Yeah?
Misty looked flustered. She was staring at her feet with a blush on her face.
Misty: Thank you. For believing in me and my dream. And I know that you will become the Pokemon Master. 'Cause I believe in you as well.
Y/N smiled at her.
Y/N: Thank you Misty. That means a lot.
Misty then does something surprising. She kisses him on his right cheek. Y/N's eyes widen and he blushes as red as a tomato. Misty, who is also blushing, just giggles and walks bag to the camp. Y/N stumbles back a little and falls on his butt. He turns his head towards his three Pokemon who are smirking at him. Y/N just smirks back.
Y/N: Oh shut up you guys. You don't understand anything about these things.
They all just laugh. Y/N picks up his fishing equipment and walks towards the camp, with Venusaur, Pikachu and Eevee following him.
Sorry again for another short chapter. I thought this would be cool chance to establish Misty's goal, build up her relationship with Y/N and to catch more Pokemon. Anyway, what do you think?
