Chapter 71

Shortly after the Spring National Swimming Championships was Chinese New Year.

Lisa combined the public holiday with some annual leave so she could stay at home for two weeks. She was happy just thinking about it. Her holidays began on Chinese New Year's Eve, the same as Jungkook and the others.

Jungkook's case was more tragic — including the day of the eve, he only had 3 days of leave.

Every year, the Jeon family would return to City-N to pass the Chinese New Year, and this year was no exception. Lisa planned to go back as well, so the four people decided to travel together.

At night, Lisa was in her room packing her things. Girls tended to have more things to pack, and they tended to find even more things to pack the longer they packed...

Jungkook had it easy — he was only going back for 3 days, and his hometown had everything he needed. He wasn't fussy anyhow, so he could make do. Thus, he simply took some necessities, and then he sat in his room with his door open. He held a book in his hands, looking up every so often from it to peer across the corridor.

Across his door was Lisa's room.

Her room door was not fully closed; Jungkook could hear the noise of things being shifted coming from within every once in a while. He really felt like going to peek inside, but Lisa had already spoken: She did not need his help.

Therefore, Jungkook could only sit inside his own room. As soon as Lisa opened her door, his gaze was drawn to her instantly and followed her as she moved around. Lisa felt that she was being teased by his gaze and could not help but speed up. When she went back into her room, she even gave him a warning look.

Jungkook felt a little moody — it looked like she really did not welcome him.

Bam slinked over and Jungkook saw him carelessly pry Lisa's room door open with his head. Bam then entered the room and turned around to close the door.

Before the door closed, Bam made eye contact with Jungkook.

Jungkook: =.=

Bam: :P

No match for a dog...

He grabbed his cell phone and sent Lisa a voice chat request.

Lisa accepted and asked, puzzled, "Is there something you can't tell me to my face? Using your phone even though we're so close."

Jungkook said, "Come over, I want to show you something fun."

"I'm busy."

"Just for a bit."

Lisa was a little resistant. "Why can't you come over?"

"Ok, I'll be right there!"

Lisa: "..." He was just waiting for this, wasn't he?

Jungkook appeared faster than the speed of the Flash. After he entered the room, the first thing he did was to chase Bam out and the shut the door properly. Click, and lock it.

Lisa stared at him warily. "Why did you lock the door?" He can't be planning to do anything bad, right...?

Jungkook coughed awkwardly. "Dog-proofing." He walked forwards to see Lisa folding clothes. "Can I help?"

"No need." Lisa paused and tilted her head to look at him. She asked, "What's the fun thing you wanted to tell me about?"

"Emm," he pursed his lips, gently squeezing her face, and then he smiled and said, "I think I am quite fun. Why don't you play with me?"
