A few weeks later...

I woke up and stretched. I turned and my face ran into a hard chest; I look up to see a sleeping Matheo. Turns out there was more water damage than I thought. I had to redo the floors, the cabinets, the furniture, and the electronics. I prop myself up on my elbow and look at him. I find myself doing this a lot. Isabella loves having me here. Every morning she knocks on our door, waiting for us to come out. I'm pretty sure she knows something is going on, but she won't say anything.

Every morning I see Matheo working out and sometimes I find I can't control myself. He doesn't mind it, but I do. I know our relationship is friends with benefits, but it seems like we're having more sex than we are being friends. Every morning when he's sleeping, he looks so peaceful and cute. We have gotten a lot closer to these last few weeks. I kept telling myself this was temporary, but waking up every day to Isabella and make breakfast with her makes me want to stay here more. I play with Matheos' hair every morning that I wake up before him. I will never admit it, but when he holds me at night or I fall asleep on him, it feels warm and comfortable.

"Mmm morning, princess." I freeze. Did he think I was Isabella? "Princess? That's new." He shrugged a little, still keeping his eyes closed. "Trying out new things. Keep playing with my hair. It feels nice." I smiled as I scooted closer and started to play with his hair. We were acting like a couple and I liked it. "So, do you have a suit? Are you picking one up?" He furrowed his brow like he was confused. "For the Charity Gala, it's tonight." He groaned as he burred his face into me and wrapped his arms around me.

He rolled over until I was on my back and he was hovering over me; he opened his eyes and piercing green ones met mine. As he took in my morning appearance, he smiled, "can't we just stay in bed all day? We don't have to go." I sighed. "I wish, but I have to go. I have to report on the people there and how the whole thing goes. It's my job. You don't have to go if you don't want too." He leaned forward. "would you like me to go?" his lips barely brush mine and I couldn't help but smile. "I'd prefer you there versus picking someone random to dance with."

He looked annoyed, "wait you just gonna dance with some random guy if I'm not there?" He sounded mad as he spoke. "Matheo, I want you there, so I don't have to. I can't just sit around at these things. I have to talk to people and dance a little, so I don't stick out. Reporting is all about blending in." He sighed as he laid his head on my chest, "fine, I'll go." I smiled at him as I kissed the top of his head, "I'm gonna go check on Isabella and see if she's up, then I'm gonna go check on the progress at my apartment."

"No," he said as he pinned me to the bed with his body, "Matheo-" I was cut off as he kissed me. I smiled a little, "okay Matheo, I really have things to do." I giggled as he nibbled at my ear. Just then, there was a knock on the door. "Andrea, can we make pancakes today?" Isabella said on the other side of the door. "Yes, give me a minute to get dressed." I called back and when I looked back at Matheo, he had a soft smile on his face. "I love how you treat Isabella." He whispered before jumping off the bed and going to the bathroom.

I got up and threw on some shorts and a tank top; that covered more than Matheo would like, but Isabella didn't need to see so much exposed skin like her dad would like. I threw my hair up into a messy bun and I walked out. Isabella was standing there smiling like she did every morning. "Ready?" I asked, and she nodded as she skipped down the hallway to the kitchen. She opens the cabinets to pull out a bowl and a pan. I grabbed the pancake box from the higher cabinets, also the ingredients.

As we prepared it, I wondered if she was really excited about making breakfast every morning or if she was doing it to spend time with me? "Isabella, can I ask you a question?" She nodded as she stirred the batter together. "Do you like making breakfast with me every day?" She smiled as she nodded, "yeah it's my favorite part of the day." I couldn't help but smile, "okay then, just making sure you're not bored." She nodded as she handed the batter to me. I double checked to make sure there weren't any clumps that she missed. She got out the food dye and put it into the batter. She chose blue today, "to match your eyes," she said as she put a couple drops in.
