I fell asleep in the cabin with Matheo. When I woke up, the plane had landed, and we were back in New York. I took a deep breath and put on a fake smile as we got back into Matheos car and drove to our apartment building. Isabella was sleeping. She was jet legged. Matheo carried her in as I just stood outside, staring at the building. I backed up and sat on the hood of my car. I couldn't stay here, not after everything. Matheo came out and gave me a confused look. "Hey what's going on?"

He asked, and I shook my head, "I can't stay here anymore Matheo. I'm sorry but everywhere I look I see her and my dog. For 6 years I made memories in that apartment with her. I can't handle seeing her everywhere I go." My voice broke at the end and he pulled me close to him as he wrapped his arms around me. "Okay, so we don't go inside. We can find some place for you to stay. Maybe a new apartment around here." I shook my head. "No, I mean, I need to get out of New York. I have amazing memories of her all over this city. I need to get out of New York."

He looked confused and opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a truck revved up its engine as it entered the parking lot. Flashes of that night went through my mind and I squeezed Matheo's arm. He pulled me around and behind him. "Damn it, what the hell are they doing here?" He mumbled as the Truck parked. A couple climbed out. The woman was a solid 5'8 with gorgeous blond hair that stopped at her shoulders. She had on a skintight dress with 2 inch heels and a black bag slung over her arm. She looked around 40, with bright green eyes.

The man was atleast 6'3 and had broad shoulders like Matheo. He was wearing a suit like he was on a business trip and you could tell he was all muscle like Matheo. He had a slight stumble and looked 40 like the woman; he had black hair and brown eyes. "Matheo, who is this thing?" The woman asking looking me up and down with disgust on her face. She had an Irish accent. Matheo put his arm around me and pulled me in front of him. His hands rested on my hips and he glared at the woman.

"Mom, Dad, this is my girlfriend, Andrea." Mom?! Dad?! These supermodels were his fucking parents?! His dad looked me up and down and smirked. "Nice choice" his mother smacked him in the back of the head. "Shut up, Leo," she said as she looked me up and down again with curiosity in her eyes. "Look, if you're dating him for his money, forget it. His ex tried it, but all she got were hospital bills from a baby that she had to pay on her own." My jaw dropped. Was this bitch serious?

I opened my mouth to speak, but Matheo gently squeezed my hips, "mom quit. Andrea isn't like that." His dad took a step towards me and looked at me and tapped his foot like he was thinking if I was worthy of dating Matheo. "Is this the same Andrea you wouldn't stop talking about in highschool?" I felt my cheeks get hot and Matheo shifted a little as he pulled me closer to him. "Dad shut up. Mom, go take dad inside. My apartment is at the bottom, the door is open. Isabella is sleeping." She nods as she hooks her arm in Leo's and dragged him into the building. "I am so sorry about them." he mumbled as he kissed the top of my head.

"Matheo, I'm gonna stay out here." I said, and he spun me around to face him and forced me to look at him. My vision began to blur, "hey just close your eyes. I will take you to my place and you can stay there for the night, and in the morning, if you feel the same, I will help you pack your things." My throat felt dry. "I don't want to leave you and Isabella, though." He tucked a stand of hair behind my ear and gave me a small smile. "You won't" he spun me back around and led us to the building. He stood beside me, blocking my view of my apartment and the stairs, and we entered his apartment.

His mom was sitting at the island with his dad. They looked at us, their faces unreadable. "So Andrea was it?" His mom asked and I nod, "where are your parents? Do you have any children? Do you have a police record? How old are you? Are you fit to be a mother? What does Isabella think of all this?" I heard a loud thud and I look to see Matheo had hit the wall. "Mother, shut up. Now everything is about you. Andrea does not have to tell you anything. Go take Isabella for the day like you planned to and leave us alone." How did he know Isabella is why they were here?
