5 years it took her, Chia Romanio took 5 years to be approved by the soccer community in Spain.

Ever since she was introduced to the world of soccer, she has not once stopped practicing in hopes of reaching the leagues, her last year of primary school was when her recognition was worth mentioning, when her life finally changed.

A man handed his card to a small brown haired girl, "If you want to grow further into your soccer skills, call me and I shall train you."

At that very night, a child of pure joy begged her parent's permission to train under a man, who surprisingly wasn't a soccer freak, but instead a dancer.

---

At the age of 13, in her first year of high school, her enthusiasm knows no bounds as she sprinted through the crowd, passing by her classmates and seniors to the signup booth for the clubs. Dramatically (this child thinks that it's necessary), she spins with her bubblegum hair tied to a braid - flowing with her to a stop in front of the booth.

Before entering school she had just dyed her hair pink out of impulse, it was not a regretful purchase.

"I'd like to try out for the soccer club please! My name is Chia Romanio! Nice to meet you,"

---

"Clario Orvan?"

"Here sir,"

"And... Chia Romanio?"

"Here!"

It was the day of the try outs, Chia was pretty sure she was glowing with excitement. She rocked forward and back with the ball of her feet and the heel of her toes.

The coach proceeded to give instructions, "those are the teams that you will divide yourselves with, get ready for a match!"

Chia was never this happy before. Don't get her wrong, she was very happy, but not as much as being able to face off her potentially future teammates, and to face off the world- it was something that Chia dreamed off. If Chia was honest, she thinks she wants the spotlight more than playing the game, but that was her deepest and darkest secret, she wouldn't admit it out loud.

The whistle blew, and the opposing team attacked, Chia was a midfielder along with Clario, the only other first year managed to get in through the interview with her, the rest are older year's who try and try again just to get into the club.

(She still wondered why they had an interview and not just show off their skill, but it doesn't matter, she got in either way)

Chia's playstyle was... Unique to say... The Spain team were trained to focus on power and strength, she focused in flexibility and style.

The opposing forward strides towards her with ease through her teammates, Chia gets ready. She has no hissatsu techniques yet, but all she did was imagine music and... Danced. The ball was stolen off their feet as she pirouette through the fields, feinting to the opponents and a dash of salsa-ing her way across the field,

"Clario!" Chia passed the ball to Clario, who went for a straight shoot, predictable, but it's power was there and strong.

"GOAL!" the referee shouted.

Chia analysed and shoot and thought 'oh my he is so interesting! A new friend.' Some of her teammates proceeded to slowly back away from her because if the mischievous face that she made.

---

"Chia stop starting at the door," her mother was preparing dinner for the family of 3, sad how she is an only child, but at least her attention is undivided.

"But ma! I need to know if I got accepted or noooottttt!" just as she finished the sentence, the doorbell was pressed.

Chia jumped off the couch and aimed right at the door, she opened it without checking who was on the other side (she will get scolded later because of that). On the door was a letter with the mailman riding his bike away.

Chia sat in the dinner table with her parents as anticipated as her on opening the letter. She picked up the fold on the mail and peeled it of at an agonising pace.

"Hurry up Chia I need to know," Chia could see her father nearly pulling his hair out,

"Just wait pa!" Chia finally peeled it off. She discarded the mail and opened the neatly folded letter, then proceeds to read out loud.

"Dear Ms Chia Romanio,

You are one of the students who took the time to apply for the school's soccer team. As you know, soccer is an important sport for Spain and one of the main leading activities that tend to determine the predicament of the state of Spain and other countries/states.

But as you applied on this team, I am here to inform you that you have been accepted into the team.

You shall arrive to school early on Wednesday morning or Thursday after school for a fitting to get your custom uniform made. We hope to see you in practice.

This is the second time of the year that Chia has been this happy.

---

"Oh my gosh, Clario you got in too!" Chia entered the school's uniform shop and came across Clario who was being measured at the corner of the room.

"You are... Cherry?"

"Cherry?!... Wait I actually like that name ahahaha! I'm Chia but you can call me Cherry instead!" Clario was confused by this girl talking to him out of nowhere as he was being fitted, but he thought that it was better to get along with her since they will become future classmates.

Clario's first thoughts of the girl was: extroverted, hyper, undiagnosed ADHD, feminine. He never gave much thought other than that, it was just to identify his teammates faster. He doesn't know that his list will just keep growing.

In the past hour that Clario and Cherry (Chia) were together, not once had Cherry stopped talking, she told him her life story at this point, and Clario has no way out but to listen to her rambling on how last night she had a weird dream that everyone walked on their arms as if it was normal. Her fellow teammates walked past with a look of pity to Clario, one even whispered good luck to him, Cherry didn't mind, she was ecstatic to have a friend on her second day of high school (she's trying to beat her record of 40 friends in primary school).

In the end, Chia managed to get Clario's number to text each other, "See you tomorrow Clario!"

"See you soon, Chia,"

"No!"

"Sorry?" Clario was confused, did he say something wrong? He's already taken to the account Chia's habits and personality since he knows that he's bound to become her friend, he already knew his fate the moment she opened her mouth to greet him. Even so, he's probably overthinking it either way.

"You're supposed to call me Cherry! It's the nickname you gave to me,"

"But it was a slip of the mouth, it's not really a nickname..."

"Well too bad! Only my closest friends get to call me a nickname and your nickname to me is Cherry!"

"But I just met you?"

"Well too bad,"

This was when Clario knows that he was already in too deep. He worries for himself for the future.
