End Of The Search

Days go by and Bethany and Damien still aren't talking. Beth has been staying at Dante's house ever since.

I'm currently in my flat baking some velvet cake when I hear a knock on the door. I wash my hands hoping it's my parcel that is supposed to arrive today. When I open the door I am shocked to see who I find on the door looking sexy as hell in a perfect Armani suit that suits him perfectly and reveals his perfect arms that I've always loved.

When his eyes meet mine they let up and so do mine when they meet his. All those feelings I thought I buried came hurrying back to.

"Melanie..." he says in almost a whisper. Tears well up my eyes and I suddenly start hyperventilating. He steps in and carries me bridal style and puts me on the couch and dissappears. He comes back with a glass of water and helps me drink it.
My breathing calms down a bit. If he thinks a glass of water can heal my heart he is purely mistaken.

I moved from his embrace. I stand up away from him and he stands up as well.
"what are you doing here?" I spat at him with rage filled in my voice.

"I came here for you. I want to right my wrongs please allow me Melanie. Melanie, I love you. And I realized that the moment I left, I couldn't keep lying to myself. I thought I could use you and not fall for you. I'm not going to try put the blame on someone else because I had full control over everything. Trust me Melanie, I enjoyed every moment with you and I didn't even think I would. I'm sorry Melanie."

"leave Marco! Leave. Get out!"

"please Melanie, just one chance please." he begged.
"Do you know how much I love you a but you used me? I hate you Marco just leave before I say something I regret. Leave!" I say pushing him away. He held my hands and embraced me. I threw punches on his chest but it felt like he wasn't feeling any pain.

I push him off me" I hope you live with the fact that you killed your own child! "I snap.

Silence fills the room and I see tears fall from his cheeks. I've never seen him this way before." what did you say?" he says and I keep crying silently. I sit back down on the couch.

"Melanie, what did you say?!" he says getting loud.
"that night your parents came I was going to tell you we were expecting Marco, until I heard everything you said. When I ran away u got hit by a truck and I lost the baby. I woke up in hospital and that's when I found out I lost my first child Marco!!"

Only sobs filled with pain fill the room.
"I'm sorry Melanie, I made you go through everything on your  own. I deeply apologize."

"Marco it'd be better if you left, don't ever come back please. For our dead child's sake. Please." I said breathless and he nodded and just like that he left.

No more Marco Fernandez, no more pain.

Right?

I mean I can live without him after all.
