Falling For You

~Twenty Eight~

Standing in front of the mirror I quickly made my hair and wear my jewellery. I'm late today. Last night I was working on this piece and didn't see the time until Abhi literally drag me to sleep. And now I'm late. Bua ji will shower me with her taunts.

"Abhi let's go! Aaj toh bua ji ne sara ghar sar pe uthana hai. Chaliye." I said. "Kuch nahi hoga. Don't worry." He said. "Vo toh niche jaake hee pata chalega." I said as we move downstairs where everyone was already at the dining table.

(Abhi let's go! Today bua ji will be very angry! Let's go.)
(Nothing will happen. Don't worry.)
(That we will know when we go downstairs.)

I greeted everyone good morning. "Amrita you were saying you daughter-in-law is good at everything. Waking up late is what she good at?" Bua ji taunted. "No bua. She was working late till late that's why she woke up late." Abhi said pulling out my chair and made me sit.

"But Abhi daughter-in-laws should wake up early and do household works." Bua ji said. "It's ok sometimes she can get late." Maa said smiling at me. "But-" "Enough! It's the first time she is late. Eat quietly now." Abhiraaj's dadu said cutting bua off and every young ones smile in victory.

"Oh yeah I remember we haven't visited our family temple for so long so I was thinking to visit it and also Mrunali and Abhiraaj can get blessings too." Dadi said. "That's a good idea. Let's go on Sunday as it'll be everyone's holiday." Chotti maa said.

"Great! Then Mrunali beta call your family as well. It'll be good if everyone goes together." Maa said and my smile dropped but I give a fake smile. "Maa you do it. It'll be more better." I said. "Ok then I'll do it." Maa said and I smiled.

"Abhiraaj Mrunali, you can call your friends too." Chachu said and we nodded. We then a heard throat clearing and turn to see Nikhil. "Uhm...maa can we call Singhania family also?" Nikhil said shyly and we all younger ones smirk at him.

"Oh yeah! Why not? And it's been so long since we met them." Papa said and Nikhil grinned. "Sanaya, their daughter I really like her. How will she be for my Rishi?" As soon as bua ji said I choked on my food while others stare wide eyed.

Abhiraaj patted my back and I calmed down. "No! There's no need. She already has a boyfriend!" Nikhil said. "That's sad." Bua ji said. "I might know who this boyfriend is." Maa said giving a knowing smile to Nikhil who just blushed making us laugh quietly.

After breakfast everyone went to their office. Of course not before bua ji making another ruckus about how daughter-in-laws should not go to work and all but immediately quietened by dadu and dadi. I then leave with Abhiraaj. At office I informed Sana and my two best friends on call, about Sunday's plan.

Sunday came soon and everyone was excited for it. Mom invited my parents and other family members and dad invited Singhanias. Me and Abhi also invited our friends.

The things that are needed to go to the temple with us are also ready. All the members have woken up early and are getting ready for the day. Abhiraaj and I are also in our room about to get ready.

"What should I wear?" I asked Abhi. "Clothes." Abhi replied. "Jaise mujhe pata hee nahi tha." I said sarcastically and he smirked. Rolling my eyes I started finding a good outfit for the day.

(Like I didn't know.)

"Here. Wear this." Abhi said giving me a box. "What's this?" I said taking it and opening it to reveal a beautiful lehenga. "Wow. When did you get it?" I asked. "Last night. Was passing by a shop and saw this so thought to buy for you." Abhi said and I gave him a big smile.
