"I'm sorry," Rowan apologized as we ate breakfast.

"About?"

"Last night, I got angry at you," she clarified.

"It's ok, I forgive you,"

"You forgive me too much,"

"You're my daughter, and you are sincere about it,"

"I'll meet him," she told me.

"Are you sure?" I asked and she nodded. "Thank you,"

"Can you get me into that other school?"

"I'm going to work on that throughout the week," I promised. That wasn't just the application, but contacting my lawyers and David's lawyers. It was exhausting, but it needed to be done soon. She was struggling a lot, and it was toxic. I just wanted her to thrive again, like she did in the past.

"What are you and Sierra going to do?" I asked her, changing the topic.

"She said Ulta,"

"I'll give you some money,"

"Thank you," she smiled.

"How would you feel about dinner with Michael tomorrow?" I asked.

"Ok," she hesitantly agreed.

"You pick the place, other than the Mexican place we went with Sierra," I said, making her huff.

"It's the best," she argued.

"I'm not having Mexican two times this weekend,"

"It's so good though," she sighed.

"Pick somewhere else,"

"I'll think about it," she finally gave up.

"Are we reading tonight?" I asked her and she nodded. "Good, we need to get started soon,"

"Yeah,"

We both finished breakfast, then went upstairs to get ready. I worked on my makeup and curling my hair, not knowing what Rowan was up to. Once I finished getting ready, I went back downstairs as Rowan came in from the back patio with Southy trotting behind.

"Ready to head out?" I questioned.

"When will you be back?"

"Around five or six,"

"Ok,"

"You'll have fun with Sierra,"

"I know,"

"Maybe you'll meet Luke," I told her.

"No way," she said, making me chuckle.

"Keep an open guy, he's nice and funny,"

"I don't want to be a third wheel,"

"You won't be," I reassured her, even though I had my doubts.
