You weren’t entirely sure how you got here. All you knew was that the creature towering over you seemed very intent on keeping you in the nest you awoke in.
Not to mention the last thing you remembered was stepping out for groceries and then nothing. It was like you'd teleported from the city to whatever mountain top catastrophe you'd gotten caught up in.
You tried standing up again only to find you're right back on the furry bottom of the nest.
"Mate, stay." It's voice resonated in your head as its eagle head nuzzled your cheek.
"What do you mean? I can't-!" It easily overpowered you, carefully climbing into the nest and curling around you. Its lion body radiated warmth and its wings were neatly folded.
"Mate, stay. Because if mate leaves I will kill anything in my way until Mate is safely back."
