You've always harbored hatred towards Ghouls ever since you were young.
You were raised in an orphanage and eventually you were adopted by a nice couple.
They brought you home and took care of you for a time.
Until you later found out they were Ghouls, and not only that...they ate all the children they adopted.
If they were malnourished or needed medical care they would provide it and food for the sole purpose of making sure the children they adopted were healthy and tasty enough for consumption.
Luckily you managed to escape one night and ran as fast as you could.
Unfortunately they found out and gave chase.
Fortunately on this night you ran into a CCG Agent by the name of Kishou Arima.

Kishou Arima:
He killed the male Ghoul who was posing as a father while the female got away.
After you told him your story, Arima took you in and began training you as his apprentice.
You grew up and excelled in as an Agent determined to rid the world of these horrible creatures and make sure no child would ever have to go through what you did.
You won't rest until every Ghoul is wiped out or at least until you learn not every Ghoul is that bad.
