Reader Info: In this version of Legends Arceus, you're the one gets transported to Hisui.
You were honestly the perfect candidate.
You were an explorer and loved to study Ancient culture so you probably wouldn't mind being in the past.
You were also a very decent fighter, you're able to match blows with a freaking Machamp so you could handle a lot of the dangerous pokemon in the past.
You were also nomadic with no real friends or family as you didn't stay in one place for too long so if Arceus took you, no one would really be effected by your absence.
So Arceus transported you to Hisui, gave you a Mystic cellphone and instructed you to capture all the pokemon.
Plus there's the whole issue with the Alpha Pokemon, Palkia and Dialga and a group of bandits.
Yeah, you're in for one hell of an adventure.

Lucario: Your Lucario got transported along with you.
He doesn't stay in a pokeball and you've known him since he was a little Riolu.
He was watching you train and was surprised to see a human with such strength and he challenged you to a fight.
The fight was a tie and ever since then he's been tagging along with you, protecting you from other pokemon your combat skills are not good enough to handle and of course training together.
He's technically not yours since you didn't catch him, but your bond is so strong he might as well be.
