From the day Visenna Velaryon was born her path had been decided for her. She was Rhaenyra and Laenors first baby girl. Well most people knew the children she birthed were not his most people in the castle knew of Laenors preferences. Just by looking at the children they were not his but that did not stop him from loving them, in his eyes they were his own.
But what shocked the realm was when Visenna was born. She had the Targaryen skin and lilac eyes but her hair was dark as night. The people whispered how the girl looked like that but her older brother Jacerys had brown hair and brown eyes. Some thought the girl to be a witch and some believed Rhaenyras uncle Daemon was the father for her Targaryen features but no one could explain the girls locks.
She was named after her Grandsire Viserys who when he first saw his namesake he immediately fell in love with the little girl. Viserys didn't care for her hair color he could tell by her other features she was a true Targaryen and he vowed he would defend her from anyone who questioned her birth.Her enchanting violet eyes and contagious smile could make anyone adore her even the Queen.
Alicent, though she wasn't fond of the girls mother and the way Rhaenyra had changed over the years, felt sorry for Visenna she knew what the girl was in for as she would grow older. Being a princess and second born she was destined to be put into an arranged marriage for power and a life of bearing children so her husband would have an heir... a life similar to what she was persuaded into.
That was until the King Viserys had an idea to unite his wife and daughter and the two strongest houses again. He suggested a marriage between his second born son Aemond and namesake. Rhaenyra was hesitant as she was scared of what they might do to her daughter but her father assured her they would not have to wed until Visennas eighteenth name day.
The two women who were on the opposite ends of the scale reluctantly agreed to please the king but little did they both know how this arranged marriage would affect the future of both their lives.
