Trent was lounging around his house whilst Kai was on the phone. He was speaking German and Trent was thinking about something. Kai ended the phone call and came and sat down next to Trent

'What you thinking about'
'Huh'
'Your wearing that face you always wear when you're thinking'
'Kai, can you teach me German'

Whatever Kai thought was going to come out of his boyfriends mouth, this definitely wasn't it.

'I'd love to teach you German, but what made you think about this all of a sudden'
'I could hear you speaking German on the phone and I wanted to learn plus you know English so it's only fair that I learn German'
'Okay but you have to teach me about some of your scouce sayings'
'Deal'

Over the next couple of months, Kai taught his boyfriend how to speak German, and to his surprise, Trent picked it up very quickly and they could soon have full conversations in German.

In the Liverpool dressing room, Trent was on the phone to his boyfriend. He was talking very quietly in German so that his teammates didn't pick up on it. The conversation finished, Kai was just asking Trent about when they could meet up again as the new season had a busy schedule.

'Trent'
'Oh, hey Thiago'
'Were you just talking in German'
'Erm, no why would you think that'
'Oh I just thought it sounded a lot like German'
'Nah'
'Well anyway, can't wait to play our first game'
'Yeah, neither can I'
