the red halo (discontinue)

first mission

It was the next and school was over. (y/n) was in his room and was getting ready for his first mission. (y/n) never thought the day would ever happen but it is thanks to the principle but (y/n) had a weird feeling about him but he didn't care because thanks to the principle, he is able to do missions now. Even better because if he just kills a bunch of monsters then the principal will give him a license that would let him do the mission that allows him to kill legally. (y/n) didn't know he was excited for that but he didn't care. All he cared about doing the mission and getting that license

Before (y/n) left, he looked at his mirror one more time to see how he changed. (y/n) felt like a whole new person after getting the red halo. (y/n) was no longer afraid of anything and no longer needed selen to help him with anything as he relied on selen a lot but (y/n) didn't need her anymore, she was just deadweight. (y/n) then took off his shirt to see all the scar on his body, to remember that he was once a weak lowlife that was everyone's punching bag but not anymore. (y/n) well never let anyone hurt ever again

(y/n): never again

(y/n) left his house to the mission board building. The mission board building is a place where protectors go on missions if they don't have anything else to do other than protecting cities from monster attack and people using their magic illegally to hurt people. People from his school can do some of the missions there but they need to be approved by the school by taking a test telling them that the student knows what they are doing. Depending how many missions you completed, you get a rank up and depending on that rank, you will get a better license card and, depending on that, the harder mission you can choose. Depending on how good of a protector you are, you would get better pay. (y/n) tried to take the test before but he never could get the chance as he didn't have magic of any kind so he always rejected to take the test.

(y/n) arrived at the mission board building and entered and when he did he saw multiple other people looking for a mission they could do. (y/n) looked around and saw selen with elira so he tried his best not to be noticed so he would cause any trouble as (y/n) wanted to do the mission but little did he know that selen saw him. (y/n) then went to a counter with someone there

Counter's lady: hello there, is there a mission you would like to do

(y/n) gave the lady the paper and license that his principal told him to give them but (y/n) didn't know that selen was watching him and she used her dragon eyes to see what the paper was as curiosity got the best of her. She saw that the paper was approved by the principal of their school. Selen thought this was strange as no one ever got to see their principal or got an approved paper from him.

Their principal of the school was a mysterious person as he never got out of his office and when someone got in trouble for doing something bad, usually the vice principal was the one giving the punishment. The vice principal was more of the principal than the actual principal. All they know is that the principal has some authority over the protector community and and mission board building

The lady read the paper then took a paper of the location of the town that (y/n) would do his mission

Counter's lady: you should feel honor kid, not many people got an approval from your school's principal, here's your mission, good luck

(y/n): thank you

(y/n) then left the building to go do his mission but selen she had many question like why did the principal have interest towards (y/n)

Time skip

(y/n) has arrived in the small town. It did not have a lot of people there and it had a few farmers but many people there would call it home. (y/n) laned there and got the people's attention
