Alicia leant against the kitchen counter as she watched Amelia help Emily prepare dinner, it was thanksgiving and the entire pack had gathered together for the celebration.

"Emily will you relax," Amelia muttered rubbing her temples, the woman's emotions were giving her a headache and she knew that it was going to be a long day; especially since Emily had gone a little crazy with the planning.

The pregnant woman glared at Amelia before she turned her attention back to preparing the turkey as the sound of cheering reached them from the living room; all of the female members of the pack rolled their eyes.

"So what is everyone doing for Christmas?" Kim asked sitting at the breakfast table, she was Jared's imprint who was in the same year as him in school.

They all had very different plans for the holidays, it was the last major holiday before the Volturi confrontation and everyone wanted to spend the day with their loved ones.

"Paul's dad is coming to visit," Amelia said fiddling with her engagement ring, she had been engaged for a week now and no one had noticed the ring that now sat on her finger; she was glad that it was going so well right now.

Leah and Emily shared a look knowing that Robert Lahote wasn't going to be easy on Amelia; he wasn't going to make her feel welcome even if she did make Paul happy.

Alicia offered her sister a reassuring smile, she knew that Amelia was going to attempt everything to get Robert to like her especially since she was Paul's imprint.

"Good luck with that," Leah said recalling how much of an ass Robert was, he was the reason that Paul had such a bad temper before he had meet Amelia.

Aiden watched Amelia with Paul, he didn't know what it was but he had noticed that there was something different about the couple; they hadn't been the same since they had come back from Egypt and there was clearly something going on.

Leah sat down next to her boyfriend and smiled at him as Sam carried the giant turkey into the dining room; he grinned as he looked around the room knowing that this could be one of the last times that they were together like this.

"Okay, who is saying grace?" Emily asked sitting down, she was twenty-four weeks pregnant and had a big bump now that was only going to get bigger.

There was a silence around the table making Emily chuckle as she looked at her fiancé, she knew that everyone would do this and someone needed to give a speech before they had dinner.

Aiden rolled his eyes before he cleared his throat making Leah smile as she moved to take his hand; everyone ducked their heads knowing that they had a lot to think about.

"Father thank you for the gathering of friends. Father we give thanks for all the choices we've made because that's what makes us who we are. Let us forever cherish our loved ones, that are gathered here today," Aiden said glancing over at his sisters, he didn't know what the future would hold for them but he was sure that this battle with the Volturi wouldn't be the end.

Paul looked at Amelia, they couldn't hide their engagement forever and he wanted to tell everyone while they had the chance.

Amelia nodded her head knowing what her fiancé wanted, she couldn't help but be glad that they were going to do this now; she was sure that they had waited long enough.

"We actually have an announcement," Paul murmured taking his imprint's hand, he wanted his friends to know before he told his father that they were engaged; Robert was going to try and break them up.

Amelia chewed on her lip, she couldn't help but feel giddy that she was wearing his engagement ring; she didn't think that she would get used to the fact that she had agreed to marry him.

"Amelia and I are engaged," Paul revealed with a grin, he felt his fiancée squeeze his hand as he told everyone what they had been hiding for a week now; he knew that no one would be able to guess and that was why he had decided to tell them now.

"Oh my God," Alicia squealed in excitement hurrying to hug her sister, the table burst into action to congratulate the couple; they couldn't believe that they hadn't known that Paul had been planning to pop the question.

Aiden stared speechlessly at his younger sisters, he blinked knowing that he should have seen this coming; Amelia had never been this happy and she had found her soul-mate in Paul after all that had happened.

The imprints all gathered around Amelia too look at her engagement ring, they couldn't believe that another couple had gotten engaged; it wasn't even a surprise that it was happening so quickly.

Leah smiled watching Amelia before she glanced over at Aiden, she hoped that he would ask her to marry him soon; she had wanted to get married soon especially with his destiny looming.

"I can't believe that he asked you to marry him," Kim gushed admiring the ring that sat on Amelia's finger, she glanced over at Paul wondering where he had gotten the 18ct white gold sapphire and diamond engagement ring from.

Amelia nodded her head with a smile on her lips, she was happy and she had never felt like this before; she knew that Paul was her soul-mate and there was nothing that could change that.

"So when do you think your wedding will be?" Leah asked sipping on her drink, her eyes watching Amelia knowing that that could be her soon; she knew what she wanted and she was sure that Aiden wanted the same things.

Leah had often talked to Aiden about how much she wanted to get married and have children, she had also started to think about moving to San Francisco and starting a life there.

"Not for a while yet... Paul wants to graduate first and get a good job before we even start thinking about a wedding," Amelia replied a little relieved that they were going to wait a while before getting married; the brunette didn't mind a long engagement especially since Paul was only in his junior year of high school.

Emily nodded her head understandingly, people would only talk if Paul got married before he even graduated from school; it was even worse that Amelia was two years older than him and had already graduated early.

"How is your wedding planning going?" Amelia asked turning the conversation away from her and Paul, she Emily was meant to be getting married in January and the planning had sort of stalled since the Volturi problem had come up.

It was something that needed to hover over the group, it was something that no one could forget about since it had a big presence in their lives.

"It's going well," Emily said resting a hand on her bump, she couldn't help but worry that something would happen to someone from the pack; it would destroy everything that they worked on.

The female members of the pack fell silent, the impending trouble that was coming; the Volturi were a major problem that needed to be dealt with and soon.
