Two months of physical therapy went by quicker than I expected and I've mainly gotten back to my old self pretty quickly but right now I'm seated across from all four of the girls with a contract in front of me except I haven't met one of them and the other... well we haven't talked much.

"Seeing as your former employer sold you out, we got together and discussed employing you as our personal bodyguard alongside Braum." Ahri says as I read over the contract again, "I don't think you've formally met Akali."

"Hey." The woman named Akali says to me.

"Hey." I repeat back as I place the contract on the table, "What's my pay since it's no where on here."

"We'll discuss that la-" Ahri was saying until I loudly sigh, "That's a bit rude don't you think?"

"You want the best then go ahead and tell me or I'll take my talents somewhere else." I say clearly striking a nerve with Ahri and Eve lowers her shades.

"It'll be sufficient enough for you, believe me." Eve says and I nod, "Was that your only question?"

"Got one more." I say and Eve nods, "Where exactly am I staying?"

"You'll be staying with-" Eve was saying before Akali jumps up.

"Us!" Akali yells before I look at Eve and she nods.

I slide down in the chair and internally groan before sitting back up and just signing the contract.

"From merc to personal bodyguard, what a turnaround." I think to myself as I stand up, "I'll go get my things from my apartment."

"And I'm coming with." Akali says walking over to me before I stick my hand out stopping her, "What?"

"I don't need you giving my roommate any ideas about us." I say before Kai'sa stands up, "Yeah?"

"H-How do y-you expect t-to get th-there?" Kai'sa stutters out as I think about it, "I-I can s-sit and wa-wait in t-the car wh-while you g-get your th-things."

"Fine by me then." I say walking towards the front door, "Coming?"

"Ye-Yeah." Kai'sa stutters as she catches up to me.

"Talk about a shy girl. Maybe after some time she'll come around." I think to myself as we get into the elevator, "So, you got a boyfriend?"

"Ye-Yeah." She stutters as I push the button for the garage, "Th-This roommate y-your girlfriend?"

"No. We've just been friends for a few years." I say before leaning my back against the elevator wall, "Pretty sure this is the most we've talked at all."

"Ye-Yeah." She stutters again before we just stand in silence until the elevator stops at the garage floor, "S-Seems like w-we're here."

"After you." I say moving aside for her to walk past me, "I'll give you the address when we get in the car."

"O-Ok." She stutters before I hear a car unlock, "W-We're borrowing o-one of E-Eve's cars."

"I'm surprised Eve kept her." I say as we walk towards a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird.

"Th-This is a-actually the c-car she f-found you i-in." She says and I nod, "D-Did you t-two really n-not date?"

"We didn't." I say as we get in the car, "It's not that I didn't want to, I really did want to but I didn't want her to deal with the backlash."

"W-What backlash?" She asks before starting the car.

"Can't tell you, it's personal information." I say and she nods before shifting the car into first gear, "Let me type the address into maps real quick."

20 minutes later

So she doesn't play around with the gas, "W-We're here."

"Just give me a few minutes. She's probably going to question me to death." I say before unbuckling, "I'll just have to call a moving truck for my other stuff."

"O-Other stuff?" She asks and I nod, "W-What other st-stuff."

"You'll see when I get it there." I say before getting out, "Just let me know if you have any problems here."

"S-Sure." She says before I close the door.

I walk toward the building before opening the door and sighing.

"Where've you been, Mr. L/N?" The landlady asks me as I walk by the front desk.

"That in itself is a long story, Mrs. McMcloud." I say after stopping, "Sera still here?"

"She is." She says before I start walking to the elevator, "Tell your sister I said hi."

"You know we're not related." I say before Mrs. McCloud starts laughing.

"You two sure act like it." She says before the elevator doors open.

"Please don't start with that again, Mrs. McCloud." I say before stepping inside and pressing the fifth floor button.

The elevator starts to take me up as I start going over what I'm going to tell her, "Hey, Sera, long time no see, yeah? I just got back from being out on a short noticed business trip."

The elevator dings and the doors slowly slide apart before I get out of the elevator.

"Apart 504... apartment 504... there we go." I think to myself as I stop in front of my apartment and then take a deep breath, "Here goes nothing."

I knock on the door and then hear the locks starting to unlock, hindsight getting those installed wasn't a bad idea but I was just too stupid to answer that door.

"Y-Y/N?"
