I didn't ask about it a lot because dream don't like to talk or think about it
Well long story short, Dream's family was at an event when they got a call about an emergency. Dream's dad, mom, and sister took one car while Dream took his own. His mom was such a stickler for seatbelts, she made sure dreams and his sister had theirs on, but his parents forgot to have their own. Something happened that night, no one quite knows what happened, but their car ended up hitting a tree throwing both his parents out leaving his sister stuck in the car with a massive brain bleed. All three passed away leaving dream alone with the company. He promised his sister before she passed that he would do whatever he had to make sure the company was in safe hands. His uncle was the one who made the fake emergency call and had access to pull the accident off
George chuckles and Karl turns to him confused

Yeah, I guess. I have a warning for you though, dream set up a backup plan for us, incase this happened he has everything figured out to have us moved to a different location for your safety
