~I promise this story isn't dead, my motivation is just shit. Anyways, enjoy:) (also I'm working on another fanfic but you didn't hear that from me... {it probably won't be released for a while, because I want it to be very pre-written so it can be less stressful for me})

"So, when's this thing?" Toua asks as she and Techno walk through the town square.
They're on their way to Ranboo's shop to, hopefully, find something to wear for the ball, or at least ask if Ranboo could whip something up quickly.
"Two days." Techno says, pulling his hair out of the messy bun it was in and putting it into a loose braid.
"There's time." Toua says.
"For two 'ball worthy' outfits?" Techno asks, raising an eyebrow and glancing at the younger.
Toua shrugs. "Or to come up with so kind of plan, 'cause I noticed you hadn't been coming up with one."
Techno fully looks at the younger, both offended and proud of the observative nature. It may not have been soul-ly his doing, but he was definitely a better example than Dream was.
"I didn't mean that in a bad way. Just pointing out that we should probably have a plan." She says, looking at the older out of the corner of her eye.
Techno nods, letting them walk the rest of the way in a comfortable silence.
When they get to the shop, Techno opens the door, letting Toua walk in before him. Luckily, Ranboo was there at the moment, hurrying out of a door at the back when the bell dings, signaling that someone had entered the shop.
"Hi." Ranboo greets. "What can I do for ya'?" He asks. (Disclaimer: I know irl Ranboo used he/they pronouns, but Remember AU Ranboo will still have he/him pronouns. It's not me disrespecting pronouns, it's me making characters. Same with Aimsey and Eret having she/they(Aimsey) and he/they(Eret) pronouns in the Remember AU.)
"We need outfits for the ball." Techno says, letting his voice go monotone.
"Alright. I have a few things on the racks that might work, or I could make you guys something." Ranboo says.
"Who's it?" Phil asks, coming though the same door Ranboo had come from.
Ranboo gestures to the people that Phil could now, clearly, see.
"Oh- Hello." Phil says, giving a little wave as he walks closer.
"We'll look around and see what you've got." Techno says, not missing the tail that presses against the back of his ankle when Phil walks out.
"Alright. Let me know what you decide. We'll be in the back." Ranboo says, smiling a bit nervously.
Techno starts to wander around the shop as Phil and Ranboo walk back to the back of the store.
"So, what are you thinking you want to wear?" Techno asks, lazily looking through the rack that he'd stopped in front of.
"I don't know. Is there a dress code?" Toua asks, standing about an inch away from Techno.
"'Elegant'." Techno says, making air quotes with his fingers as he says it. "Whatever that means."
"Basically a sleeker version of what you usually wear." Toua says. "Like- when you wear your button ups and stuff."
"Okay." Techno says. "When Dream asked me what we were doing today, he mentioned that I should wear a dress but that's impractical for potential fighting and running."
Toua shrugs. "Depends on the cut, length, fabric, etc." She says, following Techno to the next rack.
"What kind would you suggest for such an event?" Techno asks
"Definitely a knit fabric, those are breathable and light weight, and tightfitting, not too much extra stuff to get in the way. Either a short in the front, long in back situation with the skirt or long with slits up each leg. Short sleeves would be ideal, maybe even a skinny strap. Not too skinny, you wouldn't want it digging in." Toua says, not really paying attention to what Techno is looking at.
"What color?" The piglin hybrid asks.
"Probably red, given your chosen color pallet." Toua says, starting to mess with the hem of Techno's shirt, fixing a loose string and just picking at the fabric.
"Like this?" Techno asks, making Toua look up at what the older is looking at.
"Yeah." Toua says, the thing in question being a long red dress with slits up both legs and the middle piece of fabric being about long enough to reach just above the knee. It had one shoulder strap, was a plain color of 'Technoblade Red' all over, and was the lightweight fabric Toua had described.
"Cool. You think it's my size?" Techno asks.
"I mean... maybe. If you picked it up, it'd be easier to tell." Toua says.
Techno picks up the dress, holding it up to his front, doing a little pose for dramatic effect.
"Yeah. It'd probably fit." Toua says, pulling the middle around Techno's waist to see if it would reach around. "Yeah." She nods, letting go of the fabric. "And, with this, you can accessorize."
"Perfect." Techno says. "So, what are you gonna wear?"
"Probably modify a pair of your pants and wear a shirt I already have." Toua says.
"And what shirt is that?" Techno asks.
"That lavender one I had you iron yesterday." Toua says, referring to a lavender purple shirt she'd sewed by hand. It emulated Techno's preferred style of shirt; very old-time royalty mixed with pirate. It had triple layered sleeve cuffs and a not too puffy neckline/button up area.
"Okay." Techno says, nodding, remembering (ha!) the shirt. "Hopefully I don't have to pay for this. I forgot the money at the house." He adds in a whispered voice, making Toua giggle and roll her eyes.
