𝐈𝐕𝐘 𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐃 || 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐤

☰33- FIRST SCHOOL TRIP

     I had just given Tony the permission slip for the field trip. He was stalling and trying to ask questions about a small school trip, I should have known he was going to make this difficult.

   "Just sign." I say as I was washing the dishes, after our dinner which Pepper made that night.

"The MET." Tony looks up from it. "Do you know who you will be sharing a room with?"

"Jade." I say. "If she gets it signed."

He signs it and I smiled widely, hugging him. "Text every night just to see if you're okay."

"I will." I nod, I look at him and Pepper. "We live like five blocks from the hotel we're staying at and eight from the actual Met, how come we've never been there?"

"We're very busy people." Pepper teased as she dried the dishes. "We've never thought about it. I'm usually in California and well, Tony is your dad. If you ask him to take you to the Met in Manhattan he'll take you to the Louvre in Paris."

   "It's so much better!" Tony defended and we laughed. "You get more of a cultural experience."

   "Il a raison." I tell Pepper and she smiles.

"But this is great, it just adds to your normal life bingo card, right?" Tony asks and looks over to me as I nod. "Have fun."

"I will."

That night Pepper had helped me pack, it was only for a few nights but she encouraged me to pack extra clothes so I did.

On Friday morning I woke up and got dressed, having breakfast with them, which were breakfast sandwiches that were made by Tony. Then he convinced me to let him drive me to the school and Pepper to the airport because she had to go to California for a few days.
Tony had started asking if I had everything as we drove. I kept saying yes and was thankful that he was actually asking and making sure I had it all.

When we pulled up to school people had started staring at the car, I had forgotten that we took Tony's signature car instead of VAD and I guess people knew that meant he was here to drop me off.
He got out and was surrounded by students asking him questions and taking pictures with him. He loved the attention of course as he took his sweet time taking pictures. It was snowing at this time so I'm sure he loved that affect more.

"Sorry, Pepper." I apologize.

"It's fine. I knew this would happen." She said and smiled at me.

I smile and open the door. "All right, everyone back it up." I say and motion them to get back to loading their things into the bus. They grumble or gush about their pictures. "Pinches animales."
I mutter and cross my arms, turning to go to the trunk of the car, pulling my bag out.

"So, you'll both be back before Christmas, right?" Tony asked.

"Yes, Tony." Pepper and I say at the same time.

"The field trip ends on Sunday night." I told him. "So, you gonna pick me up?"

"Yeah."

"I'll be back on Tuesday morning." Pepper tells him and looks at me. "Have fun, Sweetie."

"I will." She pulls me into a hug and I hug her. "Try to go easy on those idiots."

"I'll try." She says and we chuckle.

Tony opened his arms and I hugged him. He rubbed my back and kissed the top of my head.

"I'll be fine, Tony." I say softly and we pull away from each other. "Sunday, 7:50pm."
