I called Jade and Theo, meeting them at Jade's family sandwich shop. I told them about the meeting as we sat down at a table far from others.

"Tony, Vision, uncle Rhodey, and I think Nat, all agreed to sign." I say, telling them about the Accord, while eating a basket of fries. "Birdie and Steve, don't wanna sign it and Wanda, TBD."

   "What about you?" Jade asks.

"I'm gonna be milking the 'I'm not an official Avenger' thing til they find a way to make me stop." I told her and she smiled. "Which means they'll have to make me an Avenger."

   "Yeah and when they don't?"

"I will run away to another dimension and become Void for the rest of my life. Only coming out when needed." I smirk.

"How will you know when you're needed?" Theo asks.

"Well, I have you two." I say. "You will notify me, I'll give you each a beeper and we can use it to hang out too."

"Ugh, saving the world sounds hard." Jade complained. "I'd hate to be a hero. I mean all that fighting."

"You're just lazy." Theo says, turning to me. "But shouldn't you listen to Tony? Keep building up your relationship?"

"Just because we're on different sides doesn't mean we're goin to ruin anything." I sigh. "You think I should sign it?"

He hesitates. "Yeah? Who cares if someone else bosses you around."

"She does." Jade cuts in. "The Avengers aren't perfect, nobody is, they shouldn't be expected to be. They work better on their own anyways.
It's better to lose a few cars and buildings that are all fixable than losing lives.
Why can't they just add new insurance? 'Avengers fight against who-knows-what, wrecked your car? Broke your home? No worries we've got you covered!' Easy."

She laughs at her little joke and I do as well, it didn't seem like such a bad idea.

"If you sign, they can take away all your nerdy gadgets."

   "Hey!" Theo and I say.

I sigh thinking about what I wanted to do, I saw both sides but couldn't decide on which would be the best option for me.

I had gotten home and saw that dad wasn't home yet, so being the good daughter that I was, I started dinner. He's usually the one who makes it during the week but with everything going on and after my outburst, that I don't plan on taking back, I decided that this was very much needed.
He deserved at least that, plus I didn't have training for a week since Nat would be gone and Cap was also gone for a few days.

I hear the door open and look over the counter to see Tony coming over.

"I'm making Pozole." I say and let it boil. "Almost done."

"What did you mean before?" He asked as I cut radishes.

"What?" I ask.

"You know what." He stated. "I always feel guilty."

"But you never allow me to feel it." I put them in a dish and move on to the next thing. "When I feel guilty about not saving everyone, you tell me 'You can't save all of them.' When I tell you that I feel guilty you tell me it's not my fault but it is."
I move the limes to the dish and cut up lettuce. "You think Charles was a great guy. Right? Why? Because he was building houses for the homeless, something you could easily support and make a memorial; Build a Home Foundation." I look at him. "What can I do? If my only job was to save everyone in Sokovia, make sure no one died. I couldn't even do that. So, what do I do for the people I let down?"
