☰41- CRASHING THE PARTY

   The entrance happened with Tony and Pepper being announced, an announcement for my mother and grandparents and then the announcement of my court and the entrance dance happened. I was surprised that none of us messed up during it and I was happy with the cheers and clapping from the guests.
   After that we sat at the main table and people started giving their speeches, Tony, Pepper, Quinn, Theo, Jade, and a few others. Then the buffet opened and everyone either ate or had gone to dance while I went around greeting most of the guests.

   "Alright, the DJ said it's time for the waltz and traditions." Jade came up to me.

   "Okay, I'm coming." I say and follow her back to the dance floor that was cleared and my chair was put at the center where I sat.

   This was when Nat presented me with my last doll and Tony changed my sneaker into the heels that Pepper got me. I did tear up a bit but he made me smile and moved the chair so the Waltz could start.
   Theo was my main chambelan but I danced with all of them and the damas. I did feel like a princess.

   "Loving it?" Theo asks as we dance.

   "I think a little more than I should be." I whispered.

   "I've never seen you this happy." He smiles. "It's nice."

   "Thank you for doing this. I should have believed you about Demitri—"

   "No, we're not gonna talk about that tonight. This is your night not his." Theo smiles and passes me onto the next guy before they come back to the center and lift me into the air.

   "All right, everyone, it's time for the official father daughter dance of the night!" The Dj announced.

   Tony came back onto the floor waving and smiling for the pictures. I looked up at him as we started dancing.

   "Good times?"

   "Better than I hoped." I lay my head on his shoulder and felt him kiss the top of my head. "I'm sorry.. for giving you all this grief over my life..."

   "Yeah, I had to stop doing a lot of things because of you." He whispers as we dance. "But to be all honest and gushy, I think you saved my life."

   I looked up to see he had tears in his eyes, he tried to blink them away like they hadn't been there which made me chuckle even if I had the same glisten on my eyes.

   "Stop crying, you'll ruin your makeup." He sniffed and I sniffed back taking the handkerchief he offered me.

   We got through the song and then I was handed a picture frame with my mom and grandparents. I started crying as I danced with it, wishing they could have been here, imagining how different it would be if they had been here.
It was a bittersweet moment.

   When that was over we continued the party. I got hugged by Quinn as she knew mom the longest and honestly I only wanted her.
   I got cleaned up and went back to the party, enjoying my time with the guest and my friends, teaching Steve and Sam how to dance bachata or other dances. The party was really getting started, it was dark but everyone was having so much fun and so was I.

  It was later in the night after hours of dancing around with friends and family, taking loads of pictures and eating lots of good food. Soon I was cutting the cake before we had to do the surprise dance and the party was going to come to an end.

   "Here's to the birthday girl! Otra vez para Amelia Stark Valdez!" The Dj announced and people cheered but their cheers turned into screams as an explosion happened and a fire broke out in the back.
