By the end of the day, not many customers had come along, just burnt out college students or stragglers hanging out, grabbing a latte here and there, nothing too complex. The two left the cafe with tired eyes and happy smiles.

On their way back to the dorms, they passed the tree again from the scenic route they took this time. Yoongi's eyes drifted over naturally, while Jimin stared intently at it. The barista was silent only looking as if he was enjoying the view, and it was beautiful, it really was. This place had so much meaning for Yoongi, and it was almost overwhelming how much emotion this place held, he couldn't help but chuckle a little. Jimin looked at him curiously, but Yoongi simply shook his head.

"Jus' a pretty view. Admiring it. Want a few pictures?" Jimin giggled a little, nudging him with his shoulder. "First a music producer, then a barista and coffee enthusiast- what's next? Photography?" The older barely did anything in retaliation because of how tired he was, but he was able to muster up enough energy for a weak smack on the arm. "Shut up, you look like someone who would want an aesthetic picture with the trees and shit." This made Jimin laugh some more, making Yoongi huff a little.

"I mean, you're totally right. Just not right now. I'm in grubby clothes, no makeup, no nothing. Maybe sometime later we can come back here to take some pictures..." Jimin was still staring intently at the tree, squinting his eyes a little for a better view. The red strands of fate were fucking tiny, and Jimin wanted to be discreet. Well, no way Yoongi would know, right?

Jimin dragged Yoongi down to the tree, treading carefully down the hill as Yoongi let out a noise of confusion, not resisting either, though. The dancer mumbled something about 'wanting to get a better look', and Yoongi didn't say much, because he also wanted a better look too.

They were linked by Jimin's hand gripping Yoongi's wrist, skin contact blocked by the leather jacket Yoongi had on, but when they were coming to a halt, their skin grazed briefly, and that electric shock ran through both of their bodies.

Yoongi knew it was because they were soulmates, but it wasn't like he could sell himself out or anything, so he simply muttered awkwardly. "Sorry... static, you know? 'Specially in this winter time, static is everywhere."

The dancer nodded quickly, blushing a little.

But they both knew, they felt it.

The farther they were apart the worse it felt, the need to touch, to be together. To become one, not two but one. Soulmates.

Jimin averted his gaze back to the tree, giving it a once over. Maybe another one. He bit his lips nervously before darting his eyes to Yoongi maybe to sneak a peek at him, but the older was staring right at him, his eyes practically burning holes through Jimin's head. The latter let out a little 'meep' before looking at the ground again. His eyes were able to inch over to Yoongi's pinkie, though, and lo and behold, there was a string, obviously. Everyone had one.

His eyes traced the thread carefully, heart pitter-pattering, speeding up more as he saw it leading to the tree and the base of the trunk, wrapped around the tree like Jimin's and intertwined like a little knot before trailing to Jimin's pinkie.

The elation Jimin felt in his chest was not explainable. Like a flair of hope, relief, and pure love. It was truly beautiful, the emotions overwhelming and crowding in Jimin's chest as he suddenly turned around and hugged Yoongi, leaping into his arms and simply just holding him.

Yoongi had no qualms, reciprocating the hug with just as much vigor, even if he didn't know exactly why.

".. What's on your mind, Jiminie?"

The dancer paused, debating telling the barista, but opted out. He didn't want him thinking that he only loved him because they were fated, that they were made for each other, that their love was only fueled by that alone. Jimin wanted him to know that he truly and genuinely loved him.

"Nothing," Jimin finally said. "'m just happy."

And it wasn't a lie. All this time he had spent with Yoongi had made him so happy, finding a soulmate, his other half, the one he thought he'd never find.

A stray tear escaped from Jimin's eye, leaving a hot trail, the tear stinging his eyes.

"Happy," Jimin repeated. "Really, really happy."

Yoongi nodded, as if he understood, and held Jimin closer, if that was even possible.

"Me too, Jiminie."
