Legacy of Hope

(Y/n) was lagging behind for sure, but she was still at their trail. "We're not suppose to bike alone after dark!" Morgan yelled. "Where are you going?" She asked.

"My real home-Philly!" He exclaimed.

"You can't ride your bike all the way to Philly!" Her sister exclaimed.

*Ca-Click!*

"Slow down! I don't have turbo legs!" Mo yelled to her brother Robby right after her chains of her bike broke. She tried to catch up with him but stopped as she struggled. Letting out an irritated grunt, (Y/n) stopped cautiously to not roll down the hill.

The (h/c) girl stayed with Mo as Robby came to a slight screeching halt on his bike. He then approached the two girls before kneeling in front of his sister. "I'll fix this, and then we can go, got it?" He asked as Mo nodded in understanding.

The (h/c) girl let out a hum in agreement. She then looked over the bridge and then the forest on her right. She felt bored and kept staring in the direction she was facing.

*RRRRrrrr...*

The (h/c) girl looked over her left shoulder and saw vast military-like trucks. The noise of engines humming captured her ears' attention. Although she heard the sound, it never occurred to her what was happening. "Robby..." Mo said as the bridge shook, snapping (Y/n) out of her trance.

"Quit shaking the bridge, Mo." He said as he was fixing her bike, not paying attention to his surroundings.

"Robby!" His sister yelled, pointing to where the trucks were rolling up. (Y/n) then looked a little bit closer at the arriving trucks and saw that they all had a weird insignia. Strangely, they were oddly familiar...

"Run!" Quickly, Robby grabbed Mo and (Y/n)'s hand as they ran the other way, but they were stopped by weird spider-mechs. It was a literal army of them, and the three could not get through.

*Click!*

Suddenly, their tiny panels open, which unveil lethal missiles. "What... are those things?" Mo questioned with confusion. (Y/n) was about to speak until her head began to feel like it was getting pounded.

She quietly let out a hiss of pain before Robby yanked the two down onto the road as missiles were fired.

*Pew! Pew! Pew!*

*KA-BOOM!*

An explosion was emitted as the vehicles were struck by the weapons. The three were frozen like deers in headlights when they saw a huge shadow looming over them in slow-mo. It took the shape of a large metal truck trailer. (Y/n)'s headache worsened, but she fought the pain and acted quickly.

The two kids on the ground were yanked to their feet from the (h/c) girl. They began running with Robby holding his little sister's hand. "Run," Robby said. "And don't let- !"

*KA-BOOOMM!*

"GO!" He yelled, extending the 'o' in the 'go' as they jumped off the bridge.

(Y/n) fell backward as she looked up and saw the white flash before her eyes and the explosion.

Her vision flickered to a scene with fire, and some figures and vehicles were on the scene.
