So here it is. The dreaded "Author's Note."

I'm sure you all saw this coming, given the extended period of silence on this fic (and this account in general). To be frank about it, I've fallen out of the BNHA fandom and, therefore, lost the motivation and drive to see this fic to the end. It became a chore to put words onto a page for characters I no longer felt attached to or even understood—like what the hell is going on in the manga right now? You could tell me that Horikoshi killed off Bakugou or Todoroki by now and I'd be none the wiser. 

Anyway. Back to Oblivioni Traditae. 

It sucks to let this fic go because it was—still is—my longest running fic. A younger self had always dreamed of completing this behemoth of a project, only to get tackled from behind by writer's block more often than not. I told myself that I'd keep going, that I'd push through and see this story to the end...only to realize that this was making me unhappy with what I was writing and the act of writing itself. So I've stopped. Moved on. I'll won't delete this story, but it won't be completed. 

I'm sorry, but Oblivioni Traditae will be discontinued. This is my official resignation letter. 

Still, I didn't want to just leave all of you hanging like this, so here's the deal. The younger me that loved this story actually put a lot of work into planning and outlining the next couple of chapters and I have the next one half-written. Plus, I'm sure you've all noticed the uh, cryptic, messages that I had scattered throughout the previous chapters. If you'd like, I'm willing to compile all of these behind-the-scenes information into one last chapter to give you all a sense of clarity before I say goodbye for good. 

Of course, if you choose to have this, you'd be signing yourself up for spoilers of a story that will never be written. 

Alternatively, we could part ways here. I'd thank you all for staying with me this long, for sticking with me through this long and arduous journey, and sign off. 

Anyway, just let me know. 

Partings are rather bittersweet, no?
