Chapter Eight

"At last! May signal na rin ako." I squealed.

"Off mo muna yung GPS mo baka ma-track tayo ni Tito." Paalala nito sakin.

"I already did, kanina pa habang kausap mo si Manong Guard." Sabi ko. After that conversation we both went silent. Ang awkward ng atmosphere dito kaya nag play ako ng kanta.

"Stop that Valeree. I don't like music while driving." He looks so serious but who cares, its just a little music.

"Para namang di ka nag papatugtog dati habang nasa car."

"Dati na yon, madali ako ma-distract. Kaya please turn that off." I listen to him and turn the music off. Ang baduy naman netong driver. Kinuha ko na lang ang phone ko sa purse kong dala para i-text yung dalawa kong kaibigan.

I also texted Keith kung makaka-punta siya sa club. Wala pa rin response hanggang ngayon. I miss him so much.

Minutes later sumagot na sya sakin. Keith told me that he'll be there. My face lit up as I read his message. YES! Makikita ko na ulit siya!

"Saya ng mukha mo ah." Biglang sabi ni Nexus. I look at him and rolled my eyes.

"Wala. Kang. Paki." Then I smiled bitterly.

"Get ready we're almost there."

After a few minutes dumati na nga kami sa club. I unbuckled my seat belt. Bubuksan ko na sana yung pinto pero nakipag unahan si Nexus na buksan.

"Feeling gentlemen." Sabi ko sabay irap. Iniwanan ko na sya sa labas at dumiretso na ako sa loob para hanapin sila Mitch and Fay. Sobrang saya dito sa loob. I really like parties and clubbing.

"Valeree!" Tawag sakin ng kung sino. Tina-try kong hanapin kung saan nang gagaling yung boses pero masyadong maraming tao.

Biglang may kumalabit sa likod ko at pag talikod ko nandon si Mitch. I hugged her immediately.

"I miss you so much!" Sabi ko agad sa kanya. Kumalas na ako sa pag kaka-yakap sa kanya.

"Maya mo na ako landiin tara muna sa table natin." Then we walked to our table.

I saw Fay waiting for us. Pag-kaupo ko sa table inagaw ko yung cocktail na iniinom ni Fay. She glared at me and rolled her eyes.

"Di nyo man lang ba ako namiss?" I asked them while pouting.

"Hindi!" Sabay pa nilang sabi.

"Napaka-sama ah!" Bulyaw ko sa kanila.

"Syempre naman, miss ka namin. Saka bat nga ba ngayon ka nga lang nag paramdam ang tagal mong nawala."

"Kaya nga eh. Mahabang story hindi bagay dito yung ikwe-kwento ko sa inyo. Pero mini detail lang, kinulong kasi ako ni Papa at Mama for 'safety' daw. After ng nangyari sa amin sa bahay namin dati." Kwento ko.

"Pano ka naman nakarating dito? Tumakas ka? Ikaw pa ang tatakas eh tatanga-tanga ka gumawa ng dahilan." Sabi ni Mitch.

"Yun na nga." Sabi ko. "Tinakas ako ni Nexus."

Nagulat silang dalawa at nanlaki pa ang mata. They froze for a minute trying to process what I've said.

"Nakiki-tira sa bahay namin si Nexus. Surprise! Turns out na may connection pala ang Alvarez at Gray bago pa maging kami ni Nexus before. At may tinatanaw na utang na loob ang Papa ko." They still trying to process what i'm trying to explain. "Hello? Naiintindihan nyo ba ako?"

"Oo girl! So you mean nasa iisang bahay lang kayo?!" Gulat na gulat na tanong ni Fay. I nodded and take a sip from her cocktail.

"Yeah, and he's here—." Naputol ang sinabi ko ng may humalik sa pisngi ko. I turn around and saw Keith.

"Baby! I missed you so much." I stand up and hug him tight. Halos nakalimutan ko na nandun ang mga kaibigan ko. Well who cares I missed my man.

"I miss you, love." I whisper at him and kiss his lips.

"Get a room you two!" Rinig kong sabi ni Fay. We both laughed.

"At sino naman ang kasama mong pumunta dito? I haven't heard from you in months Valeree and I'm so worried. Tapos unang pag kikita ulit natin sa club?"

"Mahabang salaysayin Keith. Let's talk about it sometime soon." I don't want to tell him muna na kasama ko si Nexus sa iisang bahay. Mas mag woworry sya.

"And when is that soon?" Pangungulit nya sakin. Nag-play yung Die for you na kanta ni The Weeknd.

"Let's enjoy the night muna. Let's Dance?" Aya ko sa kanila. Keith hold my hand and lead me to the dance floor.

He kissed my hand the we start dancing. "You look so hot right now, love."

"Don't flatter me, Keith. Ikaw talaga." Pabebe ko. We both laugh.

He put his hand on my waist. I smiled. I saw Nexus dancing with another girl. Kumirot ng konti yung puso ko. I know shouldn't be feeling this right now but fuck it!

Lumipat ako ng pwesto para di ko makita si Nexus at tinuon ang pansin ko kay Keith.

"What's wrong?" He asked me. Umiling lang ako and put my hands around his neck.

Lumingon ako sa gilid ko para hanapin si Fay and Mitch pero ang nakita ko lang si Nexus. He's kissing the girl. Yung kasayaw nya kanina. Lilingon na sana ako pabalik kay Keith, when he looked at me while kissing the girl.

He stopped kissing the girl pushed her to the side. What's wrong with him? Such a red flag. He didn't break our eye contact. His eyes, feels like he wants to tell me something.

Ako na ang nag break ng eye contact baka kung anong signal pa ma-recieve dahil lang sa pag titig ko sa kanya.

I noticed that he started walking towards us. So I kissed Keith on the lips torridly. Naramdaman ko na parang huminto sya sa pag lalakad.

"Whats up with that love?" Keith asked me.

"Baket? Bawal ko na bang halikan ang—." Biglang may sumapak kay Keith na nag patumba sa kanya sa lapag.

"WHAT THE HELL NEXUS?!"
