A week had passed since team 7 had taken their final test to become Genin and now we find them on a rooftop looking down an alleyway.
'Damn cat' Naruto thought looking at a brown cat that he Hinata and Sasuke had been hunting down the whole day.
"On my count" Naruto said motioning to his teammates
"3..."
"2..."
"1..."
He said as they all jumped down with Sasuke and Hinata landing on either side of with Naruto jumping head first above it. The cat seemed to sense Naruto and swiftly moved away from where it once stood running towards Sasuke direction with Naruto crashing on the ground
"DON'T LET IT ESCAPE" Naruto shouted but the cat somehow managed to avade Sasuke.
"Well what are you waiting for catch that damn thing" Naruto said to his teammates running after the cat with them following suit.
The ran through the village despirate to catch the damned cat with villagers giving them questioning looks and the usual looks of resentment towards Naruto.
Naruto stopped running with both Sasuke and Hinata turning back to look at him in confusion.
"Tired already?" Sasuke questioned in a mocking tone
"No and shut up. I have a plan" Naruto said
"Just ran ahead and be ready to catch that bastard if I don't" Naruto said
"Well that's a bit straight forward" Hinata commented but she and Sasuke obliged nevertheless
Naruto formed two shadow clones and both weaved hand signs forming miniature cyclones on their left and right palms respectively. Naruto jumped on both of their palms before being blasted off after the cat with both clones being dispelled.
He prepelled himself beyond Sasuke and Hinata landing right behind Tora on his stomach catching it before it could get away again.
"Finally caught you damned cat" Naruto said holding the cat away from his face as it tried to scratch at him furiously.
"Where the hell is Kakashi Sensei?" Naruto asked both Hinata and Sasuke who had just arrived Infront of him
"Isn't he supposed to help us with this?"
"Well, it Kakashi, what else do you expect from him" Sasuke replied
"Let's just turn this thing back in to the fire daimayo's wife"
Hokage's office(a few minutes later)
Team 7 excluding Kakashi barged into the Hokage's office to report their mission complete and gave Tora back to its owner who then suffocated her with a hug which filled team 7 with joy watching the cat suffer even if only temporarily.
"Old man" Naruto said making the hokage look up from his paperwork.
"I think we've done more than enough d rank missions by now, we're well beyond them" Naruto exclaimed looking to his teammates who didn't disagree
"I see" The old Homage started
"Where is Kakash-"The old man stopped as he saw the silver haired Jounin walk into the room not looking up from the orange book he held
"Ahh yes, Kakashi your team demands a higher rank mission, do you think they are ready yet?"
Kakashi not looking up from his book only nodded
"Well, there has been that for a while now" the Hokage mumbled to himself
"Come back here tomorrow at dawn to receive your mission- oh and Kakashi, which one is that?"The Hokage motioned to that book Kakashi was reading
