Chapter 22: Life in Elenoir 4

Alea POV

" Whaa...?"

We heard his majesty king Alduin shout from the room where he took the princess to sleep

Without a second of hesitation, we all ran toward the room. There we saw his majesty with the princess in his arms looking at the bed with a pale and shocked expression

He turned around and looked at Arty and me, his hand slightly shaking while pointing at the figure sleeping in bed

" A-arthur, Alea...  thi-this is...?" he said with a shaky voice

Looking toward what, or rather who he pointed at, I understood exactly what was going on

' How should we explain this one...?' I thought with a headache, already exhausted from all the explanations I had to give today

After noticing the sleeping beauty, a little girl that looks exactly like Arthur, everyone made similar expressions. It didn't take them even a moment to turn their gazes toward Arty

" Arthur?" Queen Merial said with a piercing gaze, making Arty look down, I am not sure if it's in fear or awkwardness though

" Explain" Alduin demanded

Looking toward the elder Virion I noticed that he was smirking, apparently amused by what was going on

' Now that I think about it, didn't Arty mention that elder Virion has already met Sylvie in her human form? '

'...'

' He enjoys seeing Arty in this kind of situation... Though I am the same so I can't complain ' I thought with a smile while slowly moving backward, just to make sure that all the attention doesn't fall onto me again

Arthur looked at me with the eyes of a puppy that has just been betrayed by his beloved master

' Sorry Arty, your sacrifice will never be forgotten ' I saluted but didn't say it out loud since elves have frighteningly good ears, so I just opened my mouth, letting him read from my lips

His eyes looked at me desperately while everyone was staring at him, waiting for the answer to the question they wanted to know

"" Arthur"" now they were basically touching from how close they were

" It's... I mean..."  he shot me a " help me" look while I just looked to the side, pretending not to see him

' It seems like they have forgotten about me... ' I exhaled in relief

Just when I thought that I am safe, it happened...

" Mama... what's going on?"  Now awake Sylvie asked while using one hand to rub her eyes and the other one to hold on to my shirt

"""?!""" suddenly, all attention was on me

King Alduin looked at me with his eyes and mouth wide open, while queen Merial had a similar reaction,  she was at least able to cover her mouth so she is looking a little more classy. The worst reaction was from Aya, her face was pale and she was sweating like crazy, not to mention that if she doesn't close her mouth any time soon, I am sure that she will end up eating some bugs

" Alea" she looked at me desperately, begging me to say that what everyone thinks is not true

And Arty... He had a huge smirk that looked as if he was saying " sweet revenge"

' Arty, you are mean ' I thought while pouting mentally

" Mama?" Sylvie asked with an innocent tilt of the head
