She came to us like a shadow, creeping across the walls, lurking in the corners of the room. A figure black as night, moving like a beast of the dark.
With silent touches, she stole away every ache, with kisses like a chilling breeze, she whispered to us in voices sweet, and devoid of malice.
We begged her to save us, steal us away, "this world had abandoned us" we cried. "Sweet angel of death, goddess of the lost, pull our hearts into yours and carry us with you, where you rest among the stars."
