The next morning, Kion woke up before Rani. He decided to catch lunch. They may be in a canyon, but there still has to be some type of food. Eventually he caught a gazelle.  He dragged it back to Rani's den, but didn't go in. He didn't want Rani thinking he was a creep.

Rani:

I woke up to the smell of gazelle.  I ran out and saw Kion cleaning his paws. "Well good morning," Kion smirked. "Uh morning?" I raised and eyebrow. Me and Kion ate the gazelle, and headed off.

3rd Person:

Kion and Rani were walking for hours in the scorching sun. They hadn't had any water all day. Then Kion noticed a small puddle of water. "Rani water!" He shouted. They both ran to the small puddle. There was only enough for one lion. Kion new he could survive a lot longer than Rani without water. "You take it Rani, I can survive a lot longer than you can without water," Kion said. "Your sure?" Rani asked. Kion nodded. Rani reluctantly drank from the puddle, and they both kept going south.

A couple hours later, they spotted a King Cheetah blocking their path.
