The rest of the morning went the same way. Lance and Ashton escorted me to classes even though I kept insisting it wasn't necessary. Ashton spoke up finally, I believe his exact words were "We will walk you to class if we please! Jeez woman!" I couldn't argue with that and I most definitely could not argue with Ashton. He was a man of few words but when he spoke we listened. He was the 'leader' of the group if you wanna call it that then there was his wing man, Lance and from what I could tell those two were closer to each other than to Max and Jase. Best friends if guys call it that, bros, or whatever. Then there was Jase and Max who were best friends. Max and Jase stuck together, they were inseparable and they looked so much alike that I concluded they had to be brothers.

"Hey, we want you stay clear of Ryker. Okay?" Lance instructed on the way to class.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because there's something off about him."

"What do you mean?"

"Just stay clear, alright?! He's dangerous and unpredictable. I don't want you to get hurt. He's been in all kinds of trouble and you've got to stay away from him!" Lance explain desperately.

"Alright! I will stay clear." I replied quickly.

"Good."

As I stepped into class something occurred to me. "Wait, how will I know which one's Ryker?" I asked turning around, however Lance was already gone.

I sat through class and went over what Lance told me again and again. Surely the guy would be easy to spot and hey I can ask about him at lunch. I sighed as the bell rang. Finally! I just walked out of class and was shoved against the wall. Hard.

"Wha??" I gasped as I was backhanded. Hard. When my vision cleared I could see my attacker. It was the blonde chick I'd run into earlier. She pulled my hair and scream profanities at me.

"I'll make you sorry you ever back talked me!" She bellowed as she slapped my cheek again and it hurt! But I made no effort to fight back. I refused. "Common, slut. It's no fun if you don't put up a fight!" She whined annoyingly before clubbing me along side the head with a book she was holding. Then suddenly I couldn't hear anything out of my left ear. There was a a high pitched screech and then it cut off as the battery to my hearing aid fell bouncing to the floor. I watched as it rolled away.

"No!" I yelled, desperately trying to get to it.

"Aww she's trying to get away!" The blondie mocked. I could only hear for the half and it was all muffled. Then suddenly a huge body loomed up behind the girl who was still slapping me.

"Enough!" I froze, I knew that voice. Looking up I saw him. The man from the office. The one who wouldn't stop staring at me. He'd come to my rescue. "Stacy. I suggest. You back the hell up." He growled out, positioning himself between me and this loco chick.

"Why are you sticking up for her?" She whinned. "You heard what she did to me."

"Yeah and it's about time someone stands up to you." He growled ferociously. I could see the muscles ripple dangerously under his tee shirt as he clenched and unclenched his fists repeatedly.

She gasped and took off running down the hall. I watched her run in those redicilous heels and I silently hoped she'd wipe out. But she didn't to my great disappointment.

Suddenly he whirled around, gazing down at me with eyes that were . . . glowing! Glowing gold like a freaking cat! I cowered against the wall, desperately wanting to put more space between us. Especially after how maliciously he'd growled. It sounded like he wanted to murder someone! No, it didn't even sound human.
