Hailey's POV

It has been a couple of days since I discovered Elise's book, and mistakenly told my vampire girlfriend about my plan.

Elise wanted to have some private time with Heather today, deciding to give me a little break. So, I went down to the library again to carry on reading her book, seeing if there were any changes to it. I grabbed the book from the bookshelf and sat down on the floor, opening it to find out that the bookmark had been moved to a different page, near the back. I turned the pages to where the bookmark was, and found a note that was addressed to me. Shit. She knew that I was here.

I read the note to myself in my head;

"I know you well enough now, love. Your scent never goes away. When you've read this, come and see me. I want to tell you something. From your beloved."

I bit my lip, closing the book shut for probably the last time as I went out of the library without hesitation and headed upstairs, into the bedroom where I was watching Elise and Heather do their thing with each other.

Elise pulled away once she saw me and got up from the bed, walking over to me and grabbed my hand. She brought me over to the bed, sitting me down on the edge. "I love you, Hailey." she told me, straight to the point. I looked at her up and down, admiring her muscles a little bit. "What did you say?" I asked her to repeat herself, "I love you." she replied.

"Is that apart of the final stage? You saying that you love me?" I asked her, "Yeah. It is." she told me. I turned my head to look at Heather for a couple of seconds, then turned back to Elise. "I love you too." I told her, "But, that's just the mate bond forcing me to say that, isn't it?" I asked, "Nope. That came from your heart." she said. "Do whatever you feel is right. Go on..." she then purred, seeing that I was interested in her.

I stood up, wrapping my arms around her slowly, feeling her cool skin. "My mind was so focused on leaving, that I was blocking out my true feelings towards you." I told her, before I watched her smile at me beautifully, causing imaginary butterflies to flutter around in my stomach. "I'm sorry." I apologised to her, "Don't be. I should be the one apologising for coming into your life unannounced." she told me.

I then picked her up, surprised at how light she was. She wrapped her legs around my waist, still smiling before I said this to her, "Let me take care of you."
