Captain F/n, the quiet young captain. So quiet that she only talks to two members of the scouts, two young fresh soldiers named Sasha Braus and Armin Arlert. She also talks to her squad when necessary. But she also happens to be an amazing soldier, unreadable and Captain Levi's love interest. The cold, stoic and feared Captain of the survey corp happens to be deeply in love with F/n. But he has almost never heard her voice.
At breakfast however, the both of them head out to eat before the sunrise as to avoid the mass amount of soldiers that pile out after dawn.
Levi walks out of his office and bumps into F/n on the way, he nods and says good morning but in response she nods and turns her head away from him to face the end of the hall. Due to their ranks they both share a table and as they eat their bread, Levi stares at the (h/c) captain out of his peripheral while she stares out to the sunrise.
"The sunrise is pretty, isn't it?" He says, trying to be friendly even if he knows his question won't be answered.
"Mhm." She mumbles and pushes herself out of her chair. She walks around and behind Levi and puts her hand on his shoulder – only for a brief second, but enough to make him blush a deep crimson red. Although she does it after almost every meal.
—
Dinner however, goes slightly differently.
"Why do you never speak to anyone, F/n?" Hange drags out. F/n continues staring down at her food as Hange complains. "We know you have a voice! You should use it! What do you think her voice sounds like, Erwin?" They say, nudging the commander.
"Hm, good question, Hange. I would say softer but not high." He says as he eats gently drinks another spoonful of mediocre soup.
Hange looks at Levi, signaling his turn to respond, "Angelic." He whispers to himself.
"What was that?" Hange shoots an eyebrow up.
"Nothing, four-eyes. Finish eating." Levi responds.
But the questions keep dragging on and on, everyone wants her to say something – anything, but she just wont. Until eventually she just stands up, not making a sound, she puts her hand on Levi's shoulder once again and walks over to the two soldiers she is willing to talk to.
"Sasha." She slowly says.
"Hm? Yes captain F/n?" The girl responds, shoveling food into her mouth. F/n quickly puts her bowl and uneaten bread in front of the brunette. She turns to Armin and ruffles his hair before sprinting to the hallway and into her office. "Thanks!" Sasha screams from a distance as she shuts her door.
She closes the door to her office and sits down. "Shit, training." She whispers to herself. Despite the idea that she doesn't ever talk unless it's to Armin or Sasha, she talks to herself all the time too, it can get lonely living in that kind of isolation. There's others she wants to talk to but doesn't know how, like the person she finds so attractive and so strong, brilliant, desirable, the list can go on and on, but his shoulder is the one she always puts her hand on after she leaves a meal. Captain Levi.
The minutes tick by and she tightens her belts for training, grabs her ODM gear and heads on her way.
"F/n." A voice said from behind her, she turns around and — speak of the devil, sees Levi. "Where are you headed?" She shoots him a glance he understands quickly.
—
Levi sits on the side and stares at F/n, pointing to what her squad is going to do and he sees her run off the right, weaving between bushes and trees before she officially disappears into the horizon. He follows her discreetly but gets stopped by the mad scientist on his way.
"Levi! Where are you going?" They ask intently.
"Nowhere." He mumbles.
"I find that unlikely." They say.
"F/n left, go look over our squads i'm going to find her." He says.
He walked away but from behind him heard "I knew you two were in love! You guys would be perfect together!" They say as they walk away, wiggling their fingers.
"Tch." He scoffs as he follows F/n.
He pushes his way through the bramble bushes and sees F/n sitting with her legs dangling off the edge of the incline. He, without talking, sits down next to her and looks off the cliff.
Her hand sneaks over to his shoulder and she looks at him. But he can't read her, he hates that, being the observant person he is he finds it frustrating that she is so quiet and yet so unreadable.
Little does he know, that look is out of love, and desire. There's so many things she would love to do, but does he feel the same?
"Talk to me, please." He whispers, facing her direction.
"Levi? Would you mind if I..." She said, his face contorted to a face of shock and confusion, but also desire. She talked, to me. As she saw his expression she lifted his chin and pulled it to her face, turning his head and kisses him on the cheek.
"F/n..." He whispers, as if a beg. She turns his head and presses her lips to his, kissing him passionately. Levi's hands snake behind her messily tied up hair to her neck, pulling her closer as hers grab his waist. They break apart for only a moment before reconnecting. It repeats for minutes before they finally pull away, leaving their hands where they were with a string of saliva connecting them.
"Sometimes, I feel as though gestures convey more feelings than any string of words ever could." She says, smiling gently. "I've always wanted to talk to you, for months now, but I've never known how."
"I like you too, F/n." He says, letting a small smile creep onto his face for the first time in years.
The night finishes as they both look outward to the sunset, orange and coral red painting their faces.

"SEE ERWIN! YOU OWE ME $10 NOW!" Hange screams throughout the dining hall.
