We soon arrive at what I assume is the house of the person the mysterious man was talking about. Like the rest of the houses in the village, it's made entirely out of wood and vine. The walls are made from large, intertwined roots that give it an interesting looking texture. The man knocks on the door, and we wait patiently for a few seconds before it slowly swings open.
Out walks a very, very old woman. She's hunched over, but somehow standing upright without the use of a cane. Her long brown hair reaches until her waist, with a few white strands visible on the surface. She wears a nightgown made entirely out of vine, and gives us a soft smile the moment she lays her eyes on him.
"Kuzai! Visiting me again already? I just saw you yesterday...!" Her eyes then shift onto me, her smile shifting into a slightly curiouser expression. "And who may this lovely young lady be? I can see she is not a part of our village... That is a first!"
"Zamire, please allow me to introduce you to Sera. Sera, this is Zamire." As he finishes our short introduction, Zamire lets out a scoff in disbelief.
"No need to be so formal, Kuzai! Is that any way to call your grandmother?" She says, placing her hands on her hips. He rolls his eyes at her.
"And as you have just heard, she is also my grandmother."
"Call me Granny Zammy, everyone here does!" She says, taking my hand in hers and shaking it with enthusiasm. "Well... Do not just stand there! Come in, come in!" Zamire leaves the door open for us, and re-enters her home assuming we'll follow her in. Kuzai waits for me to go in first, holding the door open for me until I step into the house. As we walk down the short hallway, Kuzai strides up to my side.
"She is not only my grandmother, but she is also one of the most powerful and respected elders in our village." Kuzai says to me. Zamire lets out a chuckle from the inside of a room.
"Still a charmer, I see! There appears to be no end to you and your words of flattery!" She says, letting out a small laugh.
Kuzai and I enter what I assume to be her living room, not really sure since it looks almost empty. As I expected, majority of the furniture is made out of pure wood.
"Although, I do like to show off sometimes~." Zamire starts fluttering her fingers, a soft green glow emits from her hands as she works her magic. I stumble, my mouth hangs open at the sight of the entire living room twisting and shifting around me as if it's come to life. Suddenly, two wooden chairs emerge straight out of the floor. The room stops moving at Zamire's command, and I'm left stunned, trying to process what had just happened. They both look at me with an amused expression on their faces. "Well... take your seats, you two!"
As we both sit down in our newly made chairs while Zamire quickly weaves a new one for herself. "So, why have you brought this girl to me, Kuzai? *Gasp!* Have you finally gotten yourself a partner?! It has been long overdue! You are not getting any younger you know?"
I peek a glance at Kuzai, and see his face is as red as a tomato.
"G-Granny Zammy! I- I cannot believe you-! You say this as if I am as old as the hair on your head, to which I am much younger, for your information!" He manages to stutter out.
"Speaking of age... she is quite young, is she not? Although, she is pretty! Not a bad choice, Kuzai..."
Now it's my turn, my face instantly heating up. "N-No! It isn't like that, Ms. Zamire!"
"Zammy." She says, correcting me.
"Ms. Zammy-."
"Granny Zammy~!" She says, correcting me once again.
