A/N: Prequel ends here. Lumine awakens almost a millennia later, memories and powers sealed. Lost and confused and alone she wanders. I hope enjoy the song that heralds in both series as it is actually Lumine's theme for the series(one of them, at least).

...............................................

It's so dark.

It's so dark and I can't see!!

Wait, I'm falling!?

Where are my wings!?

Either, where are you!!

My brother, please don't leave me Aether!!!

GIVE BACK MY BROTHER!!!

An eerie laughter echoed in her mind of not one but two entities, one male and one female as she fell endlessly in the dark abyssal chasm. However something warm she felt something embrace her, her chest glowing as did her hair and eyes. It cast away the darkness like a brilliant flutter of a phoenix bird's wing beats. She could feel something coarse and something cold, soaking wet lapping at her body pulling at her. Causing her to cough and gasp for air her eyes slowly opened to reveal the honey amber.

The young blonde's body was trembling, a black and red cube-like static rippled over her body as she hoisted herself up. Her hand gripped her throat as she wheezed and gasped. Her snow white dress, boots, and scarf soaked right through as she breathed in the precious air. Slowly she sat up then stumbled to her feet. The scenery was still covered in snow in some places that was only just melting. "Where am I?"she wondered as she looked around. A soft breeze blew, affectionate and gentle as it caressed her body soaking wet from the sea. It made her shiver as a result as she gathered her bearings.

"Ok, don't panic...D-Do i remember anything?"she whispered as she started to move away towards the sea of dandelions and flowers she saw just ahead. She was freezing, soaked, lost, and worst of all she was realizing her memories were a jumbled mess. Some memories too fuzzy, like tossed into a thick fog. Others she couldn't remember at all as her poor stomach voiced its complaints. "Do I at least remember my name?"she thought. Doing a double check she sighed in relief...she did remember her real name and her human alias as well as her twin brother's own.

Oh Yggdrasil...her brother!?

Was he even alive or was he locked up or caged somewhere? Did he escape or was he sealed still too? That confrontation with that unknown goddess that was the one memory thankfully that did not get jumbled up. Everything else was like a scattered jigsaw puzzle tossed and scrambled up into pieces. What about her powers? She tried to use them only to be met with a sheer amount of agony; she let out a soundless scream at the static waves. Vicious seven shackle-like energy made itself known over her soul where she only suffered even further. Mind, body, and spirit these inferno chains had bound her, rendered her as helpless as any human without a vision.

She was scared, in pain, and all so alone. Passing the sign posts she realized she could not read the language, let alone speak it. The only language she knew were the ones she stumbled onto in the ruins. Within those ruins, seeking solace she stayed. Fortunate to find a stray sword with a black and blue star-like hilt. She was not sure why but something in the back of her mind and in her gut told her to take it. At least this way she was not defenseless. Lumine tested what else she still remembered and was relieved she still knew her swordsmanship. But everything past the burning disaster? All those memories were gone or too far out of reach.

The thing she did remember was her name: Lumen Sirius Aeon. She was not human, but she could not remember what she was. She had a twin brother she needed to find, not sure if he was alive or not. She held the light element, the omnipresent holy element but whatever that deity did had shackled her powers like filtering light through a prism of glass. She was capable of flight and had wings but those wings too were sealed it seemed. And this annoying list of what she had lost was growing the more she tested.

Eventually spring took full hold and april arrived bringing a sweetness to it of blooming blossoms. Lumine, though taking a fishing rod she had made, decided to try her hand at catching some lunch. With a task in mind she went to the nearest source of water she could find. She knew fish dwelled and cast her line. With a sigh she sat on the boulder and waited.

"I really don't know what to do...I want to search but that may be difficult when I can't understand anybody or read."she huffed, blowing some hair out of her eyes. Lumine lifted her brow though when she felt a tug on her rod. "W-what the!?"

Not wasting a moment Lumine began to pull on her rod yelping at the weight and force behind it. It made her excited thinking she might have grabbed a large fish that could hold her easily for a day or two, maybe three. But what she reeled in had the young blonde gawking as out came a small fairy with snowy white silver hair, a rose gold crown, a black four point star hairclip, and a white and pink jumper with a blue cosmic scarf. The girl laps unconscious on the shore as Lumine goes over, poking her cautiously with a stick, unsure what to make of her.

"Uuuuhhh....who's poking Paimon?"she groaned.

"What in the realms?"whispered Lumine. Jumping back as the weird thing woke up and shook its head. She had not understood a word that came out of this weird floaty thing's mouth as it began to hover, before noticing Lumine.

"Did you save Paimon just now from drowning? Thank you~!"giggled the fairy in delight.

What on earth had the fairy just said with such a bright smile? She had remained cautious as she approached leaving a trail of star dust behind her. A look of curiosity as the creature realized Lumine could not understand her.

"Oh, Paimon gets it, can you understand Paimon now?"she asked, suddenly speaking in an old tongue. Lumine just slowly nodded confused and in shock at everything. "Great~! Paimon's name is is Paimon, it's a pleasure to meet you." Lumine began to relax and offered a star shattering smile that was warm as the sun at the greeting.

"I'm Lumine, a pleasure to meet you."

And so with this encounter many more were bound to follow. Lumine learned the language with her new friend's help. Recounting her tale to Paimon, including how she was under a seal after the encounter separated her from her twin brother. Across many new friends and foe alike she no doubt would encounter. A hand somewhere reaching out from the shadows holding a glowing orb of energy as she watched the scene.

"Finally...grow stronger my daughter and experience the world your past life created. Gather your army for Ragnorak, make your fateful encounters my little wolf. But there are two that will have Fate's favor. I wonder...which one will the king choose to stand at her side?"she whispered a sly grin revealed in the dim light. Watching as the first of many shackles broke. The world will quake and tremble, for the king...has returned. "The world shall burn no more for you shall ascend the throne..."
