Chapter 17

Two days after Gold robbed from Zane he just stayed in his trap house, hustling even more. He couldn't be in the house right now cause he knew all he would think about is Gold. He still couldn't believe he ain't see her for what she truly was, he was good a reading people but Gold had him fooled.

If he had to be honest with himself he had thoughts about going to where she lived and killing her ass. He thought robbing someone was the biggest disrespect, but he knew deep down in his heart he couldn't do it.

"What up?!" De'Quan said as he walked into the room and flopped down on the couch next to Zane.

Zane just nodded his head as he continued to be in his thoughts.

"Aye, you want some of this?" De'Quan asked as he held up a bag of weed.

"Naw, I'm good." Zane declined.

De'Quan scrunched his eyebrow together as he took a closer look at his friend and knew something was off. "What's wrong wit cha ass? You and Gold get into some kinda fight?"

"Naw, actually I caught Gold stealing money from my safe." Zane answered, bluntly.

De'Quan eyes widened. "Yo, tell me you're joking."

"I wish I was." Zane said, sadly.

"Man." De'Quan said as he rubbed his hand across his face. "Wait, do you think Bambi could be in this too? You think both their asses was setting us up from the jump?!"

"Naw, man. Bambi a good girl." Zane replied, then added. "But then again I could be wrong because I thought Gold was a good girl too."

De'Quan shook his head, he couldn't see Bambi to be somebody out for his money, but there was lingering thoughts in his mind.

What if she's right now in the house trying to look for my stash. De'Quan thought.

"I gotta go ." he said as he jumped off the couch.

"Where you going?" Zane inquired.

"To check up on something. I'ma call you later." De'Quan said before he gave him dap and rushed out the door.

Zane shook his head as he watched his friend leave, he knew he was going to check up on Bambi.

Zane phone started ringing, he picked it up and sucked his teeth when he saw Roshanda name flashing across the screen for the fifth time that day.

"What." Zane said, annoyed finally deciding to answer.
