Chapter 9: Skirmish In The Sky

[At the Loud House, Lincoln gives Sonic a new cell phone.]

Lincoln: Hey, Sonic, I got you a cell phone. This is going to make things a lot easier.

Sonic: Oh, really?

Lincoln: Yeah. Don't you see? Now we'll be able to reach each other right away, even when you're out for a run. We can talk anywhere now. No sweat! [Sonic moans, seemingly uninterested in the cell phone.] Now make sure you leave it on.

[Leni, Lola, Tails and Amy arrive.]

Leni: Linky, are you coming?

Tails: Hey, Lincoln, it's time to get going.

Sonic: Huh?

Amy: We've been waiting outside for you.

Lola: For twenty minutes.

Lincoln: Oops, I forgot!

Sonic: Where are you guys going?

Amy: Now that we can go out in public, we're heading to the Royal Woods Mall to go shopping. We've spent weeks hunting down Chaos Emeralds, but now it's time to do some bargain hunting. So I'm gonna shop 'til I drop! There's no point waiting for you to take me, because I don't even know where you are most of the time. Huh? [Amy notices that Sonic is holding a cell phone.] We can stay connected all the time!

Sonic: No thanks!

[Sonic tosses his cell phone to Amy and runs off.]

Amy: Huh?

Lincoln: Wait, Sonic, what about your cell phone?

Sonic: Leave a message for me.

[Sonic runs off again.]

Tails: I guess he wants to be left alone.

Amy: But why can't he be left alone with me?

[The Louds are seen driving to the Royal Woods mall.]

Lincoln: I don't understand why Sonic doesn't want me calling him?

Luan: Maybe he just wants to explore Earth more.

Amy: Unfortunately, Sonic is the kind of guy who needs lots of privacy.

Lola: Oh, so he's like Lori.

Lori: Hey, I don't keep anything private from you guys! [Thinks for a moment.] Well, I used to, but not anymore.

Lana: But what will we do if there is an emergency?

Rita: Lana's right. Without a phone, we don't have a way to reach him.

Tails: Don't worry, guys. No matter where Sonic is, he has a way of showing up when he has to.

Lincoln: Are you sure?

Tails, Amy, Cream: Count on it. [Cheese replies.]

Lynn Sr: Alright, kids! We're here!

[The scene changes to the interior of a large crowded shopping mall in Royal Woods filled with many shops. Rita is then seen recommending Cream a jacket in a clothes shop. Cheese bounces on a shirt. Amy and Leni try on variety of outfits. Suddenly, some people glimpsed at Amy and Leni and run off. Lincoln, Clyde, and Tails are then seen in a toy store of the shopping centre admiring a toy.]

Lincoln: That is so cool! This figure has kung fu kick action.

Clyde: That'll be great to add to my action figure collection.

Tails: Hey, guys, look.

[Lincoln and Clyde turn around to see the public in the store practically turning their attention towards Tails.]
