It took a few people to convince Freya that Wilbur didn't hate her or was punishing her. She was still getting food, she wasn't shackled or placed in a locked room.
"Really? Niki my window is locked shut." Freya argued. Niki sighed, "I know. But they don't lock the doors." She said with a sheepish smile.
Freya couldn't help but roll her eyes. She hugged her knees and looked out the window longingly. "I just want to go..." she muttered.
Niki frowned, "Go where?" she asked. Freya looked at her, a defeated look in her eyes, "Do you just feel like you're trapped and everyone is against your happiness?" she asked.
"Is this hypothetical-" Niki stopped herself when she saw the frown that appeared on her friend's face. She sighed and walked closer to her. She sat down next to her and patted her arm, "The world can be cruel sometimes." She admitted.
Silence engulfed them which made Niki sigh again, "Freya you are never alone. Tommy's here, I'm here and so is Wilbur." She tried to convince her.
But Freya wasn't having it, "It doesn't feel like it-" "It's because you're locking yourself up in this damn room." The two girls turned to the door where they saw Wilbur standing with his crossed arms.
Niki gulped and stood up, "I'll go check on Tommy and Tubbo." She said before excusing herself fully. Freya stood up as well, walking to her desk to grab a book.
She walked to the window sill and sat down before opening her book to start reading. "Don't go too hard on her." Niki scolded Wilbur before leaving the two alone.
No one said anything for a while until Wilbur cleared his throat, "What can you possibly want Wilbur?" Freya asked. A light scoff erupted from the older sibling, "Is it that bad to visit my sister?" he asked.
"Visit? You mean to keep an eye on?" Freya answered as she looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "Can't we just have a civilized conversation please?" he asked with the same eyebrow raise.
Growing up, their parents were quite amused by how they acted. The same twitch of their lips, same chuckle, and same raise of an eyebrow. It was quite amusing as kids but right now Freya couldn't help but be annoyed at their similarities.
"Funny you say that because I didn't know you cared." She said. Wilbur fumed, the steam practically coming out of his nose and ears, "I care about you, you are my sister."
"A sister that is not worth enough then his own nation-" "Our nation!" Freya glared at her as she snickered, "Your nation. If it was ours you would have at least thought of another way to save it then sell me away-" "To a man you have fallen in love with!"
Freya froze, her eyes wide at the accusation making Wilbur laugh bitterly, "Am I wrong? You have been nothing but itching to leave L'Manberg, our home, our family for a man you barely know." he said.
She shook her head, "You're wrong, I do know him-" "You spent a few days with him. You don't know him." He cut her off with a stubborn shake of his head, "I'm doing this for you Freya. You're my little sister, I'm trying to protect you from the enemy."
"You are such a fucking hypocrite!" she yelled as the red hues started to appear on her fingertips. "You were about to sell me to them." She said. Wilbur shook his head, "I was going to get you back!"
"How?! Getting an agreement with them took you selling your selling-" "Stop saying that!" Freya and Wilbur stared at each other, both angry but scared to hurt each other more than words. Despite the disbelief and arguments, they were still siblings.
"Have you ever even thought about why I wanted to leave?" Freya asked softly. Wilbur gulped, "I don't want to know if it involves any of them." He said.
"Nothing just gets past you huh?" she said as she pushed past him. "Don't turn your back on me-" "I should have turned my back on you ages ago!"
Wilbur stopped, frozen in spot as he watched his little sister glare at him with such anger. "The moment I saw power consume you, I should have left. Because the man standing in front of me now is not my brother. I don't recognize you."
"Freya-" Wilbur was cut off by an explosion and screaming. The walls of her once room were blown down, and the smoke and dust covered the air.
The president crouched on the floor, clutching his side. He coughed and tried to call out for Freya. The ringing in his ear made it difficult, he could smell the TNT and feel the heat of the fire but as he opened his eyes, he realized what was happening.
The ringing in his ears started to disappear and was replaced with the sound of her familiar screaming. "WILBUR!"
"FREYA!"
