Her father Otto had loved her mother dearly and was destroyed when she died. Margarita Tyrell died in the child bed having a son that would soon follow his mother, he was named Darion Hightower.
He re-married a year later, and a year after that her sister Alicent was born.
Dyana was friends with Daemon during her time at court. Otto had planned to marry Dyana to Daemon, but Viserys married his brother to Runestone, dashing Otto's hopes to the winds.
