PLEASE READ THE END OF CHAPTER NOTE. By the way, this is pretty short (anguished weeping)

After the events of chapter nine."Halt?"
It was over. That person-- the one Rush had been seeing, had escaped.
"Halt, I'm scared."
No answer.
"Ambush? Screech?"
It was a blur. He tried so hard, he wanted that stupid person dead, but he felt worse every time. He felt like he was just killing himself. "Rush?" A green haze was floating in the corner of the dark room. Rush flew over and skidded to a stop in front of Ambush. She just stared at the floor. "What just happened?"
"I don't know," Rush mumbles, "I couldn't think properly. It felt all weird."
The two looked for Screech. They didn't see him, or Seek, or Figure, or Eyes. Not even Timothy. The whole hotel was submerged in an inky black fog. Ambush shirked into a ball. "What do we do? No one's looking for us."
Nothing was moving. It was just silence. A deep void. It was like everything just shut off.
"Do you think we won the deal..?" Rush asked finally, "Do you think we're free?"
Amush suddenly had an idea. "Hey, let's look for everyone else. Maybe they're still here waiting for us?"
"But you said--"
"Yeah, whatever, let's go!"

"We're lost."
"Of course we're not lost. Not in our deathbed, we're not."
"Right. But we're lost."
"Seek, SHUT UP." Glitch phased through a door, but felt herself materialize inside of it instead. "For god's sake."
Seek ambled along, feeling tired. "Everything's so dark. We won, right?" This was only met by Glitch's worried face. "...Right?"
"Nah. If we did, we'd know." She tugged on the next door, but it barely budged. Instead, Seek's Hands came bursting from the wall and started pulling on the door. "Wait, wait," said Seek, pausing, "Oh, it's a Push door." Glitch rolled her eyes. "I think that person only made us more stupid."
"Hey, Glitch?" Seek puffed, sitting on a chair, "What... how did you die?"
Glitch didn't move. Her hands curled into fists. Seek didn't stop asking, though. "How did you die here? You--you were the first person to be made an entity-- so what killed you?"
Glitch nodded to the Infirmary, a little ways away (AN: Yes, I did mention this in the previous chapter.). "The world was older back then. Less experienced. We didn't know what to do if people got... deathly sick.
There was a 'haunted cave' that this place got built on. They said that there was some 'evil spirit' in the cave that we had to drive away, because it had made the plague. Thankfully, no one outside of the hotel caught it. They thought that the plague was made to kick us out, and--and I got it, too. I died, I became Finder, and I killed as I was being controlled to. And, well. You know the rest."
"We didn't win," Seek cried suddenly, "What do we do? What happens to that person? We're stuck in here until god knows what that Guiding Light freak's going to do to us."
"Yeah." Glitch sighed and collapsed into a sit on the floor. She rested her head on her knees. "Well, obviously, the Guiding Light won. And we can't do anything now; we're stuck here, at least, you all are. I'm not. I know what I gotta do.
"What? What do you need to do?"
"Simple. I wait."
Dear god, I finished it. I finished SEASON ONE of Doors. I figured it would be mean to give up now, so I gave you all a 2023 New Year treat and shoved all those uncoherent sentences onto this story.
...H E L P
I am in serious need of assistance right now, not to mention all the fanart requests I suddenly received. Holy sheep, I turned back to Wattpad today and I just found 42 notifications sitting there. The comment section's becoming chaotic.
Now, it may seem like the end, but I can assure you it's not. I just have to get my motivation out of the gutter and GET EVERYTHING DONE.
Doors hasn't been updated yet, and I'm running out of material to work with. Since the new update hasn't arrived, I'll be making some other things while we wait. First priority is fanart requests. Next is, well, come up with some visual character designs for the entities. (I work in character design and this will be interesting to say the least). I also have an idea, but I feel like it'd break the comment section, which is why I'm probably going to make a separate book for that...
(Let's just say you're gonna help me write something)
Last thing: I am so grateful for your engagement and support! Seriously, I wouldn't have made it this far without a very aggressive comment section pushing me on.
UNTIL THE NEXT UPDATE, people!
