Rat Hunting

Screech had been hearing noises coming from the walls for a while now. He was determined to find it, scare it, and bite it to death. However, everyone else had other ideas.

"Screech, you're so annoying," yawned Halt, picking him up by a tentacle and throwing him outside of her hallway. "Now go to sleep."

"But--" he barely got another word in. The door was slammed in his face and the only thing he could do now was grumble. "Ugh. It's probably something big like a rat. Maybe it's another one of us! That's probably it! And then I'll find em and make them my friend and I'll--"
Screech spotted Timothy crawling at a glacial pace across the roof, having just been beaten to a pulp by Seek, and Screech scooped him up with a tentacle, peering at the spider. "Hey Timothy! How about we go hunting? I bet it'll be cool! And then we can tell everyone and we'll be the coolest, not the annoyingest! Got it?"

Timothy looked up at Screech with big, sullen black eyes and then sunk his fangs into Screech's tentacle.

"I'll take that as a yes," Screech said, floating toward the next room. "Let's get going!"

"This is getting ridiculous," Screech complained. "I want to go nowwwww..."

Timothy was well and truly done with this search, as was Screech. Timothy jumped down from the entity and scuttled off elsewhere.

He finally came across an unfamiliar room -- The Library. The spider hadn't been here before, but there were strange creaks coming from inside. Thinking that this was merely Figure out to find a snack, the spider decided to take a shortcut and came out at Door 51.

"Düd! No no, over there!"

There is the sound of a voice. A new voice. Timothy turned to see something scuttling around, something small but really weird-looking, from under the door. Behind door 52 was a small, rotund little thing hauling boxes into the room. A chunk of the room's wall had been taken out, presumably by the weird little creature running around like he'd just been attacked by Timothy himself.

The creature was muttering incessantly, turning to the missing chunk in the wall filled with nothing but pure darkness. Suddenly, two giant blue eyes opened in the midst of the dark, and a long inky tentacle reached out and place a radio on the desk. On the other side of the room, a skeleton was seated on a chair with only a baseball cap on its head. Timothy stared at the two creatures and scuttled out of the room.

"I swear, Düd. Too much boxes. Where are the crosses, hombre? And the sign, did you do the sign?"

The entity in the wall waved his tentacle, pulling out a sign named Jeff's Shop and fixing it onto a hook above him. It was hard to tell if he ever smiled, but he shifted a little and started turning on his radio, bobbing slightly along when it started playing. The little creature sighed, sitting down next to the skeleton. "Ay, Jeff. No one's coming to see us, will they, Düd?"

And now, a message from the Guiding Light.

...Oh dear, the vermin.

Author's Note:

Hey guys. I haven't updated in a while (as you could probably tell) and I'm sorry this chapter was so short! I figured the 'lore' of this story is getting out of control so while I wrangle that into place I'm making minor changes to characters in this story.

Things to remember:

- Shadow, Hide and Window know about Seek and the others but don't want to interact for fear of endangering themselves.

- Seek and the others do not know about Shadow, Window, and Hide.

Welp bye for another three years I guess-
