I convinced Enzo to come on a trip to Costa Rica with me, I knew this wouldn't make up for me leaving him behind but it's something. Ever since I found out he was alive I've been trying to make it up to him, but lately it doesn't seem like it's enough, and nothing probably ever won't be. It took a bit to convince him since he wouldn't leave Henry, in fact he wouldn't have gone at all if Henry hadn't said it was okay, honestly that kid is such an angel, I used to hate kids before him, but he's a good one.
Enzo hasn't traveled a lot, and sometime after he got turned, he was taken, so I made a promise to myself that I was going to take him all around the world someday, starting with Costa Rica. I was taking him to a place called Monteverde Cloud Forest, it was an absolutely beautiful place. Calming, peaceful, and you feel like you can just think there. I had some people built a small cabin there, it has only one bedroom but I'm sure he won't mind sharing, or I'll just sleep on the couch. We were only an hour away from our destination we talked, had a couple of bites, and got to know each other better till we finally made it to the cabin.
"Here it is" I said as we walked into the cabin, it was medium sized and homey, Enzo looked around before I showed him where the room was "um, there's only one room, so I'll just sleep on the couch" I said putting my clothes away in the drawer, we would be staying for a week
"No, it's fine, we can share" he said not looking at me, putting his things away in the closet
~Time skip~
I had Enzo close his eyes as I led him to the beautiful trail I love so much
"Here it is" he opened his eyes, and he was in awe, I was the first time too
"This is...wow" he said walking ahead of me taking in any little detail

Since I own all of this, I took it upon myself to decorate this (pretend there's lots of beautiful decoration that glow at night, it's day tho. And yes, he owns it)
"I wanted to make sure it was perfect for your first time here, so I added some stuff so it wouldn't look to plain" he looked back at me wide eyed
"You decorated all this?"
"Y-yea, I mean it looks better at night when it all lights up but...yes" I mentally curse myself for stuttering
"When did you have time to do all this?" he said walking back to me
"Before I asked you to come, I came here to set everything up" he raised a brow at me, was that the right thing to say?
"You came here and did...all this, without even knowing if I would come or not" he said getting closer
"I had a feeling you'd say yes" we were basically chest to chest now and he didn't say anything for a while, so it was silent, to silent, and for some reason I was feeling nervous from all this intense eye contact
"Well, I like it" he said suddenly backing away smiling, when he was far enough, I release a breath I didn't even know I was holding "you coming?" He shouted
~Time skip~
After we finished up here, I took him to an open field that had lots of his favorite flowers, he told me about them when we were in the lab. We spent about 30 minutes here; we got pretty hungry. So, I took him to a bar, and we had our fun. When nighttime hit, I took him back to the first stop. I turned on the lights surrounding the place and since it was nighttime the stars were in the sky which made it even better.
"Wow you were right; it is better at night"
"Follow me"
I took him to the lake; I was going to take him swimming under the night stars and the lights
"This is a really nice of you, doing all this" I look at him "you know that I haven't traveled much and when I did the only things that came from it was bad experiences, so thank you for giving me a good one"
"Of course, I am trying to make up for the fact that I left you Afterall" he smiled
"Well, you're doing great, keep it up and I might just fully forgive you"
~time skip~
It was our last day here, and to be honest, it was the most fun I've had in a very long time. Me and Enzo got closer, way closer than we were before. Right now, we were sitting on the bed discussing our next trip, yes, another trip.
"How about the Bahamas?" I suggested
"What would we do there?" I really need to teach him how to use a phone
"Well, they have a really nice cruise trip coming up, I was thinking we can go. It's going to be massive, and there's tons of things to do."
"Then I'm all for it. Would we have to share a room?" he asked raising a brow
"N-no, course not. We can have separate rooms, I'll try and get us something close together" suddenly he laughs, I'm beginning to wonder if my embarrassment is funny to him
"I'm just messing with you Damon" your accent is messing with me "I don't mind sharing a room, it's fun" I look up accidently locking eyes with him, crap. Abort, abort. I didn't even notice him leaning in, or my heavy breathing, but I did notice when our lips met.
