A Cena-McMahon Love Story

Chapter 8

This chapter takes place on John Cena's main roster in ring debut on the June 27 2002 episode of Smackdown.

John was walking towards the entrance of the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

He could feel the nerves all over his body.

Tonight was the night he would be having his very first WWE match.

He's been in a few dark matches, but this was his first official televised match.

And he wasn't going up against some local jobber.

He was facing the two time Olympic Gold Medalist himself, Kurt Angle.

He met Kurt while attending a house show. That was before Kurt got his head shaved.

They chatted for a bit and Kurt seemed like a pretty nice guy.

They talked after the briefing on Thursday.

Vince opens the show by introducing Kurt Angle.

Then Kurt is going to do a promo, and then issue an open challenge to anyone in the back.

He had walked into the arena. He was walking through the corridor when he was stopped by a familiar person.

It was Brock Lesnar, who was also at Ohio Valley Wrestling with John.

"Hey Brock."

"Hey John."

They bump shoulders.

"So how have things been lately?" John asked Brock.

"I'm doing good. They don't have anything for me to do tonight."

"Oh. Okay."

"Hey I heard you're making your on air debut." Brock said.

"Yep."

"Annndd, I heard you're going up against Kurt Angle."

John just shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah."

Brock puts a hand on his shoulder.

''Hey don't sweat it. I think you're gonna do just fine out there in the ring."

John gave him a small smile. "I appreciate it dude."

"No prob. I gotta go. I have to be somewhere. I'll see you later."

John waved goodbye to Brock.

John makes it to the men's locker room.

He puts his gym bag down.

He sits down on a chair, and decides to pass the time till the show starts by looking at the latest issue of WWE Magazine.

But then he finds a few pics of Stephanie McMahon during her triple threat against Chris Jericho and Triple for the Undisputed title.

And John couldn't help but admire the outfit she wore for the match. It looked real tight.

He could see the outlines of her breasts and butt.
