Blanca

When they got to the mall Blanca couldn't help but check her phone. But alas there was no message from the guy who stole her attention. As she walked around with Claires hand in hers she couldn't help but imagine the feeling of Nicks there in Claire's place.

       It was around 6:00 and Blanca was back at her apartment with her roommates. One was an old buddy from her college soccer team, Eva and the other was a girl looking for roommates whom she met out at her favorite bookstore, Sophie. The 3 of them hit it off and wasted no time getting Sofie's name on the contract.

        Out of the three of them Blanca would probably be voted the shyest. She would say hi to her friends in the hallways and give others smiles but she when it came to parties and events she relied on others to start the conversations. Sophie was the outgoing one, she came up to Blanca and asked if she was planning on purchasing the book and if not she totally should and raved on about it. Eva was a good happy medium. She would talk to everyone at the party but she would not by choice always go to the party.

       When Eva got home she was the first to question the sudden very happy mood of Blanca as the girl hated shopping and she couldn't help but spill.

       "Remember the guy I told you about who I dated in High School?"It took Eva a second but she eventually responded,

       "He was a really good football player, his older brother was as well?"  A grin appeared on Blancas face as she responded

       "Yeah him. His name is Nick and guess where I saw him today?"

       "Wher- Wait! You saw him today. I thought he's from florida?" Shock was written all across Eva's face.

       "He is but remember I told you he was drafted by the Niners in 2019?" Stated Blanca in a tone that made Eva feel like an idiot for not knowing.

       "No I don't."

       "Well he was and I saw him on the side of the road with a broken down car and a dead phone." Intrigued Eva asked,

       "Well what happened?"

       "I Called a car towing service, waited with him then drove him where he needed to go." As she recounted the time spent with the boy she couldn't help but smile again.

       Jumping up from the couch Eva exclaimed, "You still love him don't you!"

       "I wouldn't say that. It's just nice to see an old friend again."

       "I give 3 months before you kiss." out of nowhere she hears Sophie add on

       "No, I give it less than 2 ½." Eva, ever the good friend replied.

        "Guys I'm literally in a relationship, and me and Nick are old news."

       "From the way you cried when we went to the niners game last year it can't be that old."  Added on sophie,

       "I'm in a perfect state of hap-" That's when her phone buzzed and she looked over to see a message from an unknown number and a big smile appeared on her face.

       "Wait, you gave him his number, what is he asking about?" Eva questioned, smiling as well.

       "How do you know it's him?"

        "Because you're smiling like an in love doofus."

        Going on the defensive, Blanca replied, "I don't have feelings for him and we are going out for coffee in 3 days."

        "Not in love my ass Blanca James."

       "I don't need your negativity in my life." and with that Blanca stormed off to her room but in the background she could hear Eva and Sophie putting money on their bet.

A/N sooooooo double update cause of the short chapter!!!!! I hope that you all drink water and eat and overall take care of yourselfs, as my coach says "be your own best friend" and also if you see someone in the hallway at school just give them a hello, a small gesture can go a long way.
