The written test was a breeze. It was the practical test that had Toshinori and Adawa full of anxiety for week.

It was finally Saturday.
Toshinori and Adawa were picking at their food, waiting.
"Katsuki! Don't throw your spoon at the window!" Their mother yelled.
They could both tell their father was anxious too, because he was staring at his plate.
"Izuku, eat something!" Their mother said to him.
"Uhh... mom can we all just... eat after to postman comes." Toshinori said.
"Yes... Ochaco, we're all a little anxious."
"You have patrol in a few hours. You better eat Izuku. Unless you'd rather stay home and take care of Katsuki."
"I'll start eating."
Even their father had to admit that Katsuki was a little monster.
"Ok... Adawa, Toshinori. I see the mail truck. You can both check the mail box, after! You both finish eating."
They both started shoveling food into their mouths.
"Done!" Adawa yelled.
"Uh... done too." Toshinori said.
Their mother just waved her hand, indicating they could go.
Adawa got to the mail box first.
"Well!" Toshinori said as Adawa started rifling through the mail.
"Hang on! There's some fan mail in here, uh bills... OH!" She yelled.
"What! What is it!"
"Oh my gosh.... Ohmygosh, Ohmygosh, Ohmygosh..."
"What is it!"
"I... I got a letter... To Adawa Midoriya... From U.A..." she read.
Toshinori stared...
"Well! What about mine!" He asked.
"Right um... uhh..." Adawa started going through the letters again...
"Toshi... um... wait! To Toshinori Midoriya! And Izuku Midoriya, and Ochaco Midoriya?... From U.A..."
Their front door opened.
"Hey! You two have been standing out here for a while! Have you gotten anything!"
Adawa handed Toshinori the letter.
"This can't be right... why is it addressed to mom and dad too?" Toshinori muttered.
"Uh... I got one! But Toshi's is weird..." Adawa whispered.
"Let me see." Their father said.
He scanned the envelope.
"This doesn't look right... Let me see your envelope Adawa."
Adawa handed their father her letter. Their father then began comparing their letters.
"Adawa... go open yours... me and your mom and Toshinori are going to read this."
Adawa nodded, then went back inside.
Their father followed her, and went into kitchen... Toshinori followed him.
"Dad... do you know what's going on..." Toshinori asked.
"I... I don't, let's just read this..."
They quickly explain everything to Ochaco. She took the letter and opened it.
"Can I read it...?" Toshinori asked.
His mom handed him the letter, he took it out of the envelope, unfolded it, and began reading.
Dear Midoriya Family,
As you probably figured out, Toshinori did not get into U.A, but we would like to speak to him before the school year starts.
Thank you, Principal Nezu.

Toshinori just stared at the letter. His father stared with him.
"I- I don't understand..." his mother whispered.
"I- I don't either..." said his father.
Toshinori kept staring at the letter.

Adawa ran down the stairs, "I got in!" She yelled.
Their mother gasped, "Thats amazing honey!"
"We're so proud." Their father said.
"What about Toshi?" She asked.
"Ya... congratulations..." he said.
"Are you ok?" She asked.
"Yep! Didn't get in! But yep!"
"What! But you got plenty of points!"
"Ya... and a psychotic quirk..."
"Toshinori Midoriya! Your quirk is not psychotic!" There father said.
"Oh really! Isn't it the same quirk that belonged to the villain shigaraki!"
"Yes but..." There mother started.
"But what! If I became a hero things will change! People will actually like me!"
"Toshi that's not-" Adawa started.
"What! Afraid to admit you all are afraid of it to!"
He grabbed the letter and crumbled it.
Katsuki shrieked.
"Toshinori... go to your room." His father said.
"With pleasure." He retorted.
He slammed the door to his room.
He sat on his bed.

....

Adawa knocked on his door.
"Come in." He said.
"Toshi..." she started to say.
She saw he was crying.
"Toshi... I don't have to go to U.A... I'd rather stay here with you."
"What! Being a hero is your dream!"
"It's your dream too!"
"...you need to go."
"No! Not without you."
"Stop being stubborn! Your going, and becoming a hero."
"I want to be one with you..."
"I still have to talk to principal Nezu with mom and dad." Toshinori said.
Adawa was silent.
"It's not fair..." she finally said, "you have just as much potential at becoming a hero as me."
"Your right... it isn't fair..."
They both sat in silence.
"why do people hate me..." Toshinori whispered.
Adawa was silent.
"It's because of my quirk isn't it..."
Adawa didn't know what to say to that.
