Chapter 28: Break The Ice

Am I dreaming?

Am I drunk already?

I came to Teddy's party to get my mind off my mate, for once. It's no use to keep on insisting on something that isn't gonna happen for me. There's only so much rejection I can take, really.

I didn't even go to the river to avoid him and maybe distract myself for the day. I've suffered enough already, I'm in dire need to turn another leaf or whatever. Teddy's winter party came so in handy and I'm thrilled that we're still on good terms. In fact, we never even argued over my mating. He's just been there for me, no questions asked.

I'm so thankful for him, honestly.

Now, did I expect to see Ali here?

No, Lex had already told me he wasn't bringing him, just the boys. In fact, he was very adamant about it and I appreciated it. Like I said, this was supposed to be my break from him.

But you know what they say: werewolves plan and the Goddess laughs.

Of course, he came in too. Why not disturb my night with his devilish beautiful green eyes, shining white smile and lean physique. I mean, seriously? Can't I have one day off to have fun. Stop torturing me Goddess, please! I can't take it anymore!

And then he kissed me.

"Are you okay? Have you taken any substance?" - I asked him as soon as he parted from the kiss.

"I'm fine. I've only drank this green stuff so far, but I barely sipped it." - He replied, showing me his cup. I looked at him, baffled by the kiss, waiting for a reason but he offered none.

"Well, as long as you're okay, then good." - I spoke, not knowing what else to say.

"Did you like the kiss?" - He asked me as if testing a scientific experiment.

"Yes, I loved it. Why?" - I replied, sincerely. What am I supposed to say?

He kissed me again, for longer this time. This caught the attention of Teddy's football friends, who criticized me for kissing another boy in his house. Of course, they're humans. *eye roll*

"Should we not be kissing because we're in his house? Do I need to apologize to him?" - He asked, humbly.

"No, you don't need to apologize to him. And yes, you can kiss me anywhere you want." - I stated, slightly annoyed at the humans. I don't like rubbing this on Teddy's face, not at all. But I had no idea this would even happen. And you know what they say about gifted horses.

"Anywhere, huh?" - He looked at me with a naughty grin, dropping his gaze to my lower body and I gasped at this.

"Anywhere you want, I'm yours." - I replied, blushing. I don't know what changed in him from yesterday, but unless he's drunk or drugged, I'm riding this wave until it crashes. I'm lonely as fuck.

He moved to kiss my neck and I almost fainted at the unexpected pleasure. My skin went ablaze from his touch and I relished in it. He licks his way up to my ears, nibbling it softly and I'm moaning uncontrollably.

The angry stares are not subtle, but I can't bring myself to care about any of them. I've been waiting weeks for any contact from my mate. I fucking need this. And I'm not apologizing for it, nor should I.

"Oh my Goddess, you're so good at this!" - I complimented him, gasping.

"Thanks, I'm tired of holding myself back on no one's account." - He explained, as if he needed to.

"No complaints here. Do what you want with my body" - I said, flirting shamelessly.

Ali laughed at this.
