6. The solution

(3rd Person PoV)

The two of them transform and raced towards the middle of the city where hell was let loose.

Buildings were set on fire, the roads had cracks on them and so many people were screaming and crying.

Law enforcement was guiding people to safety, firefighters were putting the fires out as fast as they can.

It was a huge huge mess.

Ok that might have been an understatement.

Jimmy and Scott arrived. Jimmy took a step back in horror.

"Did the Parasite...really do all of this?" He asked.

"It seems so. We need to defeat it before it causes even more destruction," Scott said.

"And save Katherine and Joey?" Jimmy asked.

"........sure," Scott wouldn't meet his eyes.

This annoyed Jimmy. Couldn't he see that lives are at stake!?

A scream made them jump and Jimmy face palmed at this.

"We need to get people out of here so we can take down the Parasite without any casualties," he stated.

"You're not the boss of me," Scott rolled his eyes.

"Come on, do you want dead people on your conscience?!" Jimmy snapped.

"Fine, whatever. I'll listen to you this once," Scott sighed.

"Thank you," Jimmy said and the two of them evacuated any stragglers away from the Parasite.

After that, they turned their attention to the Parasite.

"Ok how do we defeat this without hurti-," Jimmy started before Scott jumped off and shouted, "Color Ribbon!"

He held two baton things and strings came out of it.

He spun around the Parasite, tying it up.

"Or you could do that," Jimmy sighed.

"Now shoot it! The clumps of whatever the heck it's made out of will get blown off and weaken it!" Scott shouted.

"I...," Jimmy faltered.

He shot the Parasite before so why is he hesitant now?

He made a fist at this. Come on! I just need to shoot it! He thought.

"Come on!" Scott snapped.

"Fine! Mesa Pistol!" His two pistols appeared in his hands and Jimmy shot at the Parasite's blob clumps.

Just don't hurt Joey and Katherine, he thought to himself.

"Alright then! Combine!" Scott's two ribbon batons were combined and were made into a staff.

"Color Spotlight!" He shouted.

The Parasite then got blinded by the bright and colorful lights that emitted from Scott's staff.

Jimmy jumped onto the side of a building and held up one of the pistols towards the Parasite.

Careful...careful, he thought as he aimed.
